Charlieville fatal police shooting linked to cable theft, not home invasion as claimed by TTPS

[00:00:00]Yesterday, yesterday, ladies and gentlemen, in fact, I saw in fact they they said that there was a home invasion. Where? They they they said it.

[00:00:09]That the Chaguanas Police Service put out a media release, one dead, firearm seized for falling police-involved shooting incident at Central Division.

[00:00:18]One man is dead and a firearm seized following a police-involved shooting incident which occurred in Central Division. Reports indicate that officers of Central Division report of a home invasion, a home invasion in progress in the Chaguanas district around 3:35 a.m.

[00:00:32]on Thursday. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers observed a man crouched between a parked vehicle and some bushes. The officers called out to the man who allegedly pointed an object resembling a firearm in the direction.

[00:00:42]This is so the suspect was ordered to drop and keeping with the use of force policy, the officer discharged their service issue fire in the direction of the suspect who fell to the ground with a gunshot wounds about the body. The man was taken to Chaguanas Health Facility.

[00:00:56]You know, ladies and gentlemen, so when I heard when I heard Chaguanas home invasion, somebody said Caroni Savannah. I said, "But nobody from Caroni Savannah didn't call me." I am thinking like I wonder where in Caroni Savannah Road because I tell you this, I know everybody on Caroni Savannah Road. From Biljah Road where I where where on a morning I would walk on that road, Biljah Road there, behind the fire station, Biljah Road.

[00:01:21]I would leave home around 7:00 after 7:00 and I would walk on that and walk on the side of the road straight to Chaguanas at Vedic School, yeah. Every morning I'm going and coming for years, well, until you reach um Caroni entrance, then Caroni entrance. And so I know everybody, everybody knows me as the little nutty head boy, as Benji. Yeah, everybody knows me.

[00:01:43]Everybody said, "I don't know I don't know everybody." So I was thinking about where there was a home invasion. I said, "No, it couldn't be." And I'm just here to highlight what exactly happened today. Let's go straight to it.

Cuz he knew that there was no electricity today because only today T&TEC is here to put up the transformer because and it's only when he jumped this yard. You see he jumped this yard here? Some big supermarket coming here and the people them excited, but it's a it's a big setback because they can't join this, right? So, what they have to do, they have to watch when they did the boxes run here. So, they have to use right here. They got back everything here.

Everybody on this pavement Everybody on both sides of this road every day at 7:30 I walk from Belvoir Road on this road going to Montrose Vedic.

And people and people like like like myself who trying and who want to be greater, who investing and want and and and you know, want to better your life. Yeah, the sacrifice that you can be lying in night but they can't lie because they have big mortgage to pay. But some of people are taking risk. People like that people like I like my I like myself I take risk. Financial risk I take it.

But nevertheless, I feel really sorry for that homeowner because I just say election was telling me that you know, I was just telling him about it. He said I have to go down and go dig out every single piece of that cable and run it fresh.
