[00:00:00]Uh, so Tory atheist posted a thing that yes, this is in the Bible and it was it's the story of the prostitute who got raped to death. It's like the the other Sodom and Gomorrah story where instead of the men saying no, we don't want to rape the virgins, they just did and she got raped to death and then they chopped up her body and sent it to the 11 tribes of Israel who weren't involved in that.

[00:00:21]And then Patrick Neve retweeted that and saying reading the book about how mankind is evil needs God. I said whoa, these people are really evil.

[00:00:30]So this is the this is the response to the bad stories in the Bible as being like yeah, the story the Bible has stories of when people were bad. It doesn't mean God condoned it.

[00:00:40]Notably, do you know how the story ended, Siris? Uh, this one I'm less familiar with actually. Okay, so this story ended with 11 of the 12 tribes of Israel ganged up against Benjamin, which was the tribe that committed the heinous act. Um, so they attacked them relentlessly. Uh, they killed all their women and children and they they got them down to a point where there were only like 400 of their men were left.

[00:01:07]And then they were like, oh [ __ ] We don't actually want to completely wipe out one of the tribes of Israel because we are all tribes of Israel after all.

[00:01:15]So then they prayed to God said God, what do we do about this? Do you know what God's answer was? Mhm.

[00:01:22]God's answer was hey, over here. There's a city that was not involved in any of this. Okay, so one one of the issues was that all of the other tribes had pledged to never give their daughters as wives to Benjamin.

[00:01:35]So they're like, well, we can't uphold our pledge and Benjamin still live because we killed all their women.

[00:01:40]Uh, so the answer here was like, okay, well, here's a city that has not been involved in any of this. None of the men of that city made that pledge. So let's go into that city, kill all the men, kill all the women who have known a man and take the young women and give them as wives to the Benjaminite.

[00:02:01]That was God's solution. This wasn't a story of bad people being bad. Like, sure, up to that point you could argue that it was.

[00:02:08]But, at that point, they asked God, "What do we do?" And that was God's answer.

[00:02:13]Was go kill all the men, women, and children of kill all the men, women, and boy children of that town, but then take the girl children and make them sex slaves of the Benjaminites.

[00:02:25]Go do this incredibly heinous and bad thing.

[00:02:29]Anyway, we're just going to go [ __ ] off now. Remember, the most moral person in Sodom said, "It's okay, just go rape my daughters. Don't touch the angels."

[00:02:40]And then they all got killed by God for it.

[00:02:43]Right, and we're ignoring the fact that the most moral person in Sodom still suggested that. And then God turned his wife into a pillar of salt for the crime of looking back at a city that was being destroyed.

After that one came a recommendation for a guy who was playing a cover of The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Mhm. And his washing machine was the percussion.
