SEC JUST Changed Stock Trading Forever | Tokenized Stocks Explained

I'm D5 Shan and today we're going to be talking about tokenized stock which is going to be something I think that's going to be hitting the crypto market sooner than later and is another major deal. It seems like every day more and more mainstream things are getting integrated into crypto. But before we talk about that, let's take a quick look at the market with Bitcoin at 77.5K.

[00:00:21]pretty much everything even the last 24 hours with Ethereum at 2.1K, BNB up since our last video at 657, Salana at 87, Dogecoin at 10.5 cents, we have Tron at 36, and we have XRP at $137. All of it green up here. We have our market cap slightly up 2.59 trillion for the whole crypto market. We have the fear and greed getting back into the 40s. I know it dipped into the 30s with our last video, but before we talk about our tokenized stock, as usual guys, go ahead and hit that like button, hit that subscribe button, comment down below, and let's go. So, I made a spreadsheet going over all the details. And first, of course, what is a tokenized stock?

[00:01:02]And that's basically a blockchain version of a real stock. Think about it like this. Right now, if you buy Tesla stock, which I own a lot of, that's why I'm using that as an example, through a brokerage like I use Charles Swab, your ownership sits inside traditional Wall Street systems. But with tokenization that ownership can be represented as a crypto onchain. So one token equals one real share. So one token of Tesla equals one share of Tesla backed by an actual stock held in custody by your brokerage and tradable on blockchain rails. It's basically stable coins but for stocks instead of dollars. Now why is this a huge deal? Right now stock market closes. We all know how that works. The bell goes off every day. Holidays, all that fun stuff. Settlement takes time. I know you've probably been there. I've definitely been there where I'm trying to close a trade, whether it's buy or sell, and it takes longer than 24 hours to just execute that one trade. And then, of course, transfers go through multiple middlemen, another negative.

[00:01:59]And then international investing, of course, is messy. I do a little bit of it, but my brokerage kind of handles that for me. Now, tokenized stocks could allow these things. 24/7 trading, instant settlements, none of those waiting and waiting, going back, seeing if you're cleared, waiting for that email, whatever it may be. You're going to have global access. Of course, you're always going to have lower fees. And you can also do fractional ownership. And of course, wallet towallet transfers. Let's say I have a Tesla stock. I can send it to my mom, my dad, my brother, my wife, whoever I want to with a click of a button. And again, it's going right here. Imagine sending someone Apple stock the same way you send USDC. Wall Street is already moving. This is what makes this different from old crypto height cycles. This isn't just random startups anymore. The real infrastruct players are already preparing. You're talking about the NASDAQ. The really big deal with the DTCC, of course, Black Rockck, Fidelity, and this right here, the DTCC especially is important because they're basically the plumbing behind the US stock market. If they are spearmating with blockchain settlements, that tells you Wall Street sees this as the future, which again it no doubt is.

[00:03:08]Now, what the SEC what the SEC, excuse me, is actually doing. The SEC is not saying stocks are now unregulated crypto. Not at all. Actually, the opposite. They're saying tokenized stocks are still securities, which of course meaning KYC still apply, regulations still apply, broker deals still matter, compliance still matters, and what changes though is the technology layer. Blockchain becomes the infrastructure. And what mainly changes are going to be what we've already went over these things right here. Now, before we continue, I want to talk real quick about the official Patriot X token. And this could merge crypto and trade five or for those that might not be aware, traditional finance.

[00:05:27]And this is why crypto people are excited because if stocks move on chain, suddenly crypto isn't just speculative coins anymore. Blockchains become the settlement layer, the trading layer, and eventually the financial layer. You could eventually see stocks, ETFs, bonds, even real estate, treasury bills, even entire funds all moving on chain.

[00:05:48]And again, I don't think that's an if. I think that's a win. And the massive DeFi angle that we have here, which is um what we're going to talk about and is actually the crazy part. Imagine borrowing against your Nvidita shares, earning yield on tokenized ETFs or using tokenized Apple stock as collateral. I mean, how cool is that? That's where traditional finance and DeFi starts colliding. And if that happens, crypto infrastructure becomes insanely valuable. And and in my opinion here, this may end up being one of the most important crypto developments of the decade. And that's saying a lot with all of the different stuff going on with the Clarity Act to everything else. And again, not because memecoins pump, but because Wall Street may finally be adopting blockchain rails. And once real assets start moving on chain, there may be no going back. And I I think that's an understatement. Let me say that again. There's going to be no going back. Basically, the entire market is going to be operating 24/7. And of course, in today's society, that's exactly probably how we want it. Now, again, this is a very bullish piece of information. Go check it out. Do your own research. See what's going on.
