[00:00:00]Hi, Kevin. Today's one of those days that started off a little bit different than the way things ended, huh?

[00:00:04]>> Yeah, that little storm was very, very little. It was little. A few sprinkles, but that was about it. It sure was nice though by the end of the day. Let me show you some of these storms. This was Farnsworth Peak about 7:00 a.m. You can see as the sun came up out of the east, those clouds were rolling over the mountain. It was trying to rain. It did its very best in the valleys. It just didn't materialize to a whole lot. I showed you some of those totals earlier.

[00:00:26]It was really Wasatch back up near Bear Lake, Montpelier, Evanston, area that got measurable rain and even that it was pretty light. Today's high temperatures though, they were okay. 71 in Salt Lake City. Denver was 73. Some of that cooler air, well, Cody stopped at 50. Great Falls was 55, but Las Vegas was 93, Phoenix was 96, and that warmer air is going to bubble up and pretty much take over the holiday weekend. We will have some clouds come and go, but it's definitely going to be a nice couple of days. Here's Vortex over the last 6 hours. You can see that some of that light precipitation has really waned across northern and eastern Utah. But I want to slide to the south and draw your attention. There's a little boundary layer that's just kind of stalled over the central and southern part of the state. Pretty benign. This is mostly aloft. It's not reaching the ground. But you'll notice on our storm zone, that's going to reappear tomorrow and it will play into our weather for Friday. So, 48° right now in Logan, kind of chilly.

[00:01:26]53 in Vernal. Still 70s in Moab and still 80 in St. George. Las Vegas is 87.

[00:01:32]So, here's the low. Never really came to Utah, but it did bring snow along I-80 for some of the travelers, and it's continuing to progress off to the east.

[00:01:41]But if you look back to that little radar, that little line right there, that's that little stalled boundary layer. So, tomorrow we'll wake up to some clouds in northern Utah and in central southern Utah. By afternoon, that little disturbance or that little line kind of fires up with the heat of the day and there's some potential.

[00:01:59]Cedar City, Brian Head, Cedar Breaks over into Bryce for a few little pop-up storms in the afternoon, then it's gone.

[00:02:06]As we head through Saturday, same kind of summer-esque pattern where the heat of the day kind of bubbles up over the mountains, some clouds, and it's going to repeat on Sunday, although shift a little bit more to the north. So, we'll see clouds and sunshine through the holiday. No major rain storms, but it's not just going to be brilliant blue sunshine. be some clouds to deal with.

[00:02:26]Saturday in Salt Lake, 81 mostly sunny, partly cloudy 85 Sunday, and on Memorial Day Monday, 87 and sunshine. Oh, should be great. Hope you enjoy the weekend.

[00:02:35]All right, let's talk about tomorrow. We will be dealing with some thicker clouds. Delta, Manti, I've got a bolt in for Richfield and over towards Beaver, Panguitch, Loa. Not because it's going to be a major thunderstorm, but there could be a few little pops and just to be aware if you're headed out and you're going to be in that part of the state.

[00:02:52]St. George, 88 tomorrow and then 90s for Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Memorial Day, tons of sunshine and 91. Northern forecast, lows tonight 20s and 30s Montpelier, Logan to Heber City, but 40s in the valleys of the Wasatch Front. 72 tomorrow and partly cloudy in Salt Lake.

[00:03:08]Provo will match that and the 7-day forecast you like 80s? Well, how about mid-80s? It's going to get warm, it's going to be beautiful. Another cool down will come midweek as we drop back a little bit below normal on Wednesday, Thursday. You know, this usually kicks off summer, but it feels like we've already been in summer for a while. So true. Uh, thanks.
