Governments with many women in positions of power tend to function well. Spain serves as an example with many women serving as mayors and in other leadership roles, demonstrating that gender diversity in governance contributes to effective leadership.

Thank you very much.
between languages English, Spanish, French. Uh uh. That is good because it's part of the mobilization.
>> Yeah, true. Yes. So, thank you very much for being with us today.
>> Welcome. Welcome.
>> You are general coordinator of the Socialist International. Huh? Okay. So, we are going to make this quick and easy because we know you have a very busy agenda today. Thank you.
We've been talking a lot these days, Chantal, about progress, about the future. Yeah. What does progress mean to you?
Progress for me is uh peace among the world.
Progress for me means equality amongst the region of the world.
Progress for me means leave no one behind.
And progress for me is to move, but not alone, but together. Yeah.
Chantal, you defend inclusion and social justice.
What do you see as the main problem today to building a more equal society?
Peace.
>> Society. Yes.
The peace is very important. Mhm. Without peace, there is no progress.
There is no inclusion. There is no equality. Today we need peace because when there is war, when there are conflicts the human has declined.
And this is very dangerous.
Peace is in the center of everything.
Today, we are in Barcelona.
Without peace, we couldn't come here.
So, if we are here, it is important to send messages of peace.
To build.
And I say, build together. Build together is to know each other.
Is to know ourselves and know each other. The inclusion is very important.
That is why the subject of interculturality is very important. Mhm. If you don't know the other, we cannot progress together. We cannot build together. You cannot all our program and policy first to take into consideration the interculturality so that the world can come in peace.
And when there is peace we can construct everything. Mhm. Peace is very important and is one of the keys of this global progressive mobilization.
But, Chantal, what specific policies do you think should be a priority to actually reduce inequality? Look.
As a general coordinator of the Socialist International we put human being in the center of our preoccupation.
Inclusion. And we are a global organization.
The policy is the policy who put everyone together and in equal.
The kind of policy is to take care that people in other continent doesn't remain poor.
Our material, what we produce, we can build it in our country, then then bring it out. Not coming in some countries take all and leave them poor.
The policy we are building in Socialist International is the policy provided by Pedro Sanchez because he's the president of the Socialist International and is aware of what the world is suffering to.
He bring us an idea to bring inclusivity and take care of everyone. That is why today Pedro Sanchez is the leader not of the Socialist International. He's an icon for all of us, everything in Africa because the policy built by Pedro in Spain is exactly what we have in Socialist International. That's right.
It was the next question. Wow. Pedro Sanchez is now the reference point. Yes. He's a reference point because Pedro Sanchez is courageous. He's take courageous decision. And his decision, his policy is inclusive.
>> Mhm. And that is very important.
Without inclusivity, we cannot build the world. That is why coming to Spain was a reference. Many people are coming here not because of the thematic, because Pedro Sanchez is here. And we like his policies. Yeah. Amount him among the world is Spain now become the most inclusive country in the world. And he took a strong decision concerning the Middle the the the the Middle East conflict. He said no.
No to war. Yes to peace. That is why we are here in Barcelona. Yeah, true. And for your position, Chantal, what are the main challenges we progressive have ahead? Yes. The main challenging remain to bring everyone in the same table. You know the five hand the five fingers are not the same, but we should every time when we go ahead, we look back to see if we are together to go. This is the first challenge that we have. The second challenge remain peace.
There are many conflicts in the world.
Conflicts doesn't mean absence of war.
When you cannot eat you are not in peace. It's another conflict. When you have children who cannot go to school you cannot be in peace. It's another conflict. When you cannot sleep knowing that tomorrow you can take care of your health you are not in peace. It's another conflict. So, as socialist, we should take care all those thematic are put together in table and make a better world for all of us.
Finally, Chantal, what message will you give to younger generation about the progress?
Yes. The young girls that to stay first because they are girls, they are women, they have to face certain challenges.
As girl they have today to think to be leaders.
Because generally, there is this discrimination, girl cannot do this, girl cannot do so. No. Today, the society offer the same opportunities to girl and to boys. Particularly to girl, they should be the leader of tomorrow because a girl is not only a girl, but is a mother. Even when she doesn't give birth, is still be a mother. A girl is the future of tomorrow because as a woman she have the responsibility to give food to gather children. That is the image of the girl. Not only in my continent, also here because women still the right hand of the power in the in in the world.
>> Uh-huh. Look the government with many women is going well like in Spain. There are many women in power in Spain. There are many women mayors, things like that. So, the young girls today should think first about the the the the the the the the future of all the world before themselves because they are already have a natural power as human. Woman has the power. Yeah. Totally. I am a mother myself and I am very worried about the future of my little girl. So, that's true. That's very true. Yes, but do you you don't need to to worry. We mother, we always worry, but they know how to take care of themselves because today we are not waiting for tomorrow.
They are already leaders. Today, you can see as on social media, they have a power there that we cannot manage. I was having an interview.
The publication of me, I couldn't know what it is, but my assistant, my collaborator, who is a young girl, know what it was about. Which means young girls have future.
They should know that there is no discrimination. They can be lawyers, mechanic, electrician.
>> Whatever they want. What whatever they want. Today, the world is open to everyone. Yeah. Chantal thank you very much for coming.
>> I am very happy to be with you.
Very happy Thank you.
>> to be in Spain.
Yeah.
>> It's a pleasure to have you you here. Te dejamos que disfrutes.
You want prefer in French, but in English very well. No.
Why not? I am Cameroonian at the base.
I can speak English and French.
And in the position that I have in the Socialist International, I should trust in me. Yeah. That is why I can say, "Buenos dias."
>> [laughter] >> Hola. Hola. Hola.
Thank you very much.
>> Thank you very much. Gracias, Chantal.
>> Yes, thank you.
Thank you.
