[music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music] [music and singing] [music] >> Hello guys. Before we get into the breakdown, I just want to let you know that this week we will be starting a new series, which is the live piano breakdown series. We will be breaking down this piano piece live and showing you how I create the MIDI file for this piano piece, okay? So, stay tuned. And if you want to send me a video for breakdown, you can go to the community in my website. It is totally free to join the community there, and you can post the link to the video there. I will save it, and when I come on live, then I will ask you guys to choose which one I do, all right? So, let's get into the video.
>> [music] [music] >> So, this is key of B flats.
>> [music] [music] >> Yeah, so [music] He is exalted.
>> [music] >> high He is >> [music] >> exalted.
The king is exalted and high.
>> [music] >> We praise His name.
>> [singing] >> Yes, Lord.
Yeah.
Okay, so um >> [music] [music] >> He is Yeah.
So Now, let's talk about what he did on the sixth day, right?
And all those stuff like that. Um Uh we are used to playing the dominant seven when we want to go to the two. We are used to playing the six dominant seven.
Okay? [music] But, what we can do is you can change the chord quality on the sixth. And instead of playing a dominant seven on the sixth, which is G dominant seven, >> [music] >> we instead play G major seven.
It's just a one note difference, right?
And though we can alternate between and both chord qualities, but yeah, we could use just [music] G7, G major seven.
Pass into [music] um C minor. Let's Let's try to this in a song. Um I will sing This is the [music] day that the Lord has [music] made.
You could even express yourself there on that G major seven, okay? Um but yeah, that's the idea. Uh so, as I was singing, This is the [music] day that the Lord three has We are used to >> [music] >> made.
With that dominant I would What we could do has made. [music] Okay, you can express yourself. One thing you could do to express yourself there on the G is just use alternating chords, and I teach this a lot on my website. [snorts] Use alternating chords. You can use the diminished sevenths, which is the most popular one.
>> [snorts] >> Uh so, you have your G, okay?
Go a half step from a diminished sevenths, >> [music] >> and you can use all the diminished sevenths in that family, okay? So, you have You can do Let's say uh Yeah, >> [music] >> you can do this and then switch to the diminished sevenths.
You could either choose to use a just a diminished or a diminished seventh. It's just an extension of the seventh, okay?
But Uh yeah, then back to that diminished seventh and then back [music] to that major seventh. And I could keep going if I have time.
Yeah. So, so many ways you could do it.
>> [music] >> And now what I did now is to switch, okay? And now switch from the major seventh to a dominant seventh, okay?
Because you're playing the major seventh on the sixth, [music] I did some stuff there.
Um uh Now, I could have gone back to here, but I decided to go back to that dominant seventh, okay?
So, I mean, there's a whole lot that could be going here, but let's move on with the breakdown.
>> [music] >> So, we have in slows.
Forever shall reign.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> So, we have a >> [music] >> his holy >> [music] >> These are dead. Yeah, so we have
