The video successfully captures the neighborhood's raw charm, but it occasionally mistakes urban neglect for "authentic" character. It is a visually rich exploration that teeters between genuine cultural appreciation and the romanticization of decay.

Okay, I'm starting a new series. It's going [music] to be shorts from Mexico City.
This is very interesting. Everything's interesting. For example, that's Universidad [music] de Londres, University of London. Who expected that in Mexico City?
That wiring is interesting.
Everything.
The buildings are interesting. Let's look at some of these old buildings.
Nice uh nice trees, nice shade.
And here we have an interesting It says Templo de Catemaco, Veracruz.
They have a temple right [music] here.
They uh The temple does look like it could use a little better uh maintenance, but uh the It says más fuerte en el corazón, so a lot of power there.
Many interesting [music] things.
I mean, this uh this balcony, it says peligro alto voltaje. That means danger, high voltage. So, clearly some thieves had >> [music] >> climbed up there and broke it in. So, they uh they just electrified it.
How ingenious.
Yeah, that would really [music] be approved in Canada.
And uh This uh This kind of reminds me a lot of uh France, [music] where you have tremendous character.
Um a little bit uh low on the maintenance, [music] but high on the character, tremendously high.
And uh And then this This quite an interesting [music] building. Every single building is actually different. And uh So, let's look at these.
What's on this building?
I'll have to put that through Google Translate.
Niño, child.
Oh, looks like it's for sale.
>> [music] >> Well, I like it.
So, that's a tiny little cliff in the Roma area.
There's a million things to look at.
And uh here we go.
