[00:00:03]Nothing to worry about there in the tropics, by the way, but please keep an eye on the forecast this weekend. A lot of stuff going on. Greek Fest, maybe you're going to be out and about for Memorial Day weekend. Storms are going to be something to watch out for. Here's what the weekend holds though. Storms are going to be around, no doubt about it. Most of this is going to be during the daytime and evening, but there will be dry hours. I can't emphasize that enough. It's not going to be raining the entire time this weekend. You will be able to get out and about and do things, but like in the summertime, you're out there having a good time all of a sudden you're trapped somewhere for an hour or two as it's raining. We'll be watching for street flooding uh this weekend as well. I tell you what, yesterday, boy, was it impressive what parts of South Mississippi picked up. We always have a little hotspot on the map. Day before it was River Parishes. Yesterday, look at these rainfall totals through Hancock County. We picked up nearly 11 in of rain out by Stennis. Up by the kill, we picked up 9 in of rain and then north of that, nearly five. Poplarville picked up about 5 and 1/2 in. So, we did have some flash flooding. We had some waterspouts too reported and it's just a reminder, it's that easy this time of year to get all that. And so, we'll be watching that again today. Radar this morning, couple showers near Angie and Varnado lifting north. We've also got a few little light showers near Grand Isle and lower Plaquemines. Rest of us are waking up quiet. I don't think today is going to be a complete wash and I think the chance of rain today is slightly lower than yesterday. Here's why. As we get to the afternoon, you can see storms are not exploding everywhere on the map, but look, this afternoon, couple little storms around, especially north of the lake. If I live on the north shore, probably betting on some rain today, but if I live south of the lake and closer to the coast, maybe not as rainy. I do still have at least a chance though everywhere on the map, but I think the north shore is looking like our highest chance today at about 60 to 70%.

[00:01:44]Rainfall totals today, again, there'll be a little hotspot here and there and we've seen over the past 2 days that could easily top 8 in in a spot or two.

[00:01:50]That would be isolated though. So, our chance of rain through the weekend, about 40, 50, 60, 70% all the way through early next week. I think the best chances could come around Sunday and Monday. So, outdoor plans, please make sure you've got indoor plans, live radar on your fingertips, or on your TV.

[00:02:15]If you're heading to the Memorial Day uh for Memorial Day heading to the beaches, we've got rip current risk. High rip current risk from 30A 30A all the way down to Panama City. If you're from 30A back to Gulf Shores, Navarre, Pensacola, there is an elevated rip current risk as well. Please be so careful. Rip currents are the deadliest thing we deal with. We always have fatalities every single year from them. So, just want to get that message out as clear as I can. All right, our 7-day forecast.

[00:02:42]Storm chances every single day. Again, it's not going to be all-day washouts, but there's a good bet there's going to be storms on radar somewhere every single day in our region. And that means we'll be watching out for downpours, lightning, and occasionally you can get a little waterspout with little rotation as well. Temperatures, looks like we're going to stay in the 80s. Heads-up for boaters, those waterspouts are your biggest concern out there on the water.

[00:03:03]Outside of that, winds are not going to be a big problem. South southwest or south southeast at 5 to 10 knots. Your high tides, those are going to happen later this afternoon into the evening.
