Front and rear wheels serve different functional roles and therefore require different design approaches. Front wheels, which typically experience less abuse than rear wheels, can be built lighter and more nimble to enhance traction and bump absorption. Rear wheels, which must withstand greater impacts and deliver power to the ground, benefit from a more robust, stiffer, and responsive rim profile. This design philosophy optimizes performance for each wheel's specific role in the bicycle system.

Introducing the Sidekick Flux Wheel System: Compliant Rims, Anti-Kickback Hubs, Engineered as OneIndexed:
Introducing the new Sidekick Flux Wheel System. For the first time, our second-generation Sidekick anti-kickback hubs are engineered together with compliant Flux rims, sold as one complete wheel. -- Two technologies. One wheel system -- https://www.ethirteen.com/pages/flux-wheels Sidekick 2.0 Hubs: Decouple the drivetrain from your suspension. Eliminate pedal kickback at the source. Pawls retract during coasting for near-zero drag and near-silent operation. Tool-free deadband adjustment between 9, 13, and 18 degrees. Flux Rims: We inverted the profile. Where conventional rims bow outward, Flux bows inward. The low-profile concave shape acts as additional suspension. Up to 33% more angular compliance. 19% more vertical compliance vs. best-in-class. Same Flux compliance front and rear, with rear rims rated to a higher ASTM category for the loads they take. The Sidekick Flux Range: Optimus / Trail Sylvan / All Mountain Grappler / Enduro / DH Three material tiers, every model E-MTB rated: Sidekick Flux Aluminum from $599.90 Sidekick Flux Pro Aluminum from $799.90 Sidekick Flux Pro Carbon from $1,649.90 The new Infinite Ride Warranty: - Lifetime warranty on all Carbon and Pro Aluminum rims - 10-year warranty on all Sidekick Hubs - Lifetime guarantee on hub bearings - Crash replacement on non-Pro aluminum rims - Developed across multiple World Cup DH and Enduro seasons, two Hardline victories, and long-term testing with professional guide companies in Italy, Canada, the Alps, and Nepal. The wheels do the work. Your job is to handle the speed. Introducing E13's new Sidekick Flux Wheels and Rims. Using our new front and rear specific compliant Flux Rims offering more comfort, [music] more control, and reduced rider fatigue.
All wheels come with the new Sidekick 2.0 hubs, the only three-in-one hubs that are almost totally silent, eliminate pedal kickback, and have near zero drag for carrying [music] more speed. With the Flux carbon rims, E13 aimed to create the best of both worlds.
They got the compliance of the alloy and they're lighter and stronger. The compliance comes from an engineered design that combines a low-profile concave shape rather than a convex shape used in traditional rims. Up to 33% higher compliance in angular deflection tests and 19% higher in vertical deflection tests.
Front wheels don't normally take the same abuse as rear wheels, so they can be built lighter and more nimble, >> [music] >> enhancing traction and bump absorption.
The rear wheels, on the other hand, benefit from a more robust, stiffer, and responsive [music] rim profile to withstand big impacts and deliver power to the ground on demand.
So, we've designed specific rims for each one. The front, more compliant rims, are now different from the stronger rear rims, while keeping the same 30 mm width. Target stiffness levels have been achieved using different carbon layups and wall [music] thicknesses.
With the Flux carbon rims, we've aimed to create the best of both worlds with the compliance of aluminum, but lighter and stronger. Our wheels are for riders who want more grip, [music] more comfort, and less fatigue, so you can ride harder for longer.
We've worked hard to have the most durable rims possible. We went above and beyond with our machine testing, and we also gave our wheels to professional guides operating on some of the most rugged trails [music] in the world in Italy, Canada, the Alps, and Nepal.
There's a wheel set for every discipline with the gravity-rated Grappler, the versatile all-mountain Sylvan, or the fast and light trail-focused Optimus.
There's also wheel set for every budget with our new three-tiered wheel program.
Finally, if anything goes wrong, we are proud to introduce our new infinite ride warranty, one of the most robust warranties in the industry, handled by a team of riders who know how important [music] it is to be back riding as soon as possible.
Lifetime warranty on all carbon and pro level aluminum rims, 10-year warranty on all Sidekick hubs, lifetime guarantee on hub bearings, and a crash replacement policy for non-pro aluminum rims.
On top of this, Sidekick Flux wheels are simple to service at home, fully rebuildable, and most maintenance can be done without tools.
Built on durability and backed by our best warranty, that's e*thirteen wheels with Sidekick and Flux technology. More speed, more control, less fatigue.
