The video offers a sophisticated technical breakdown that effectively traces the Southern rock DNA within McBryde’s modern composition. It elevates the standard reaction format by prioritizing structural analysis and historical context over mere emotional display.

I don't think I've ever actually reacted to Ashley McBryde on my channel, but um yeah, we're going to get into this one. This is a newer song. I know she blew up like 10 years ago. I remember always hearing her songs and just hearing her name and uh I just thought it'd be cool to put this one on the channel. So, let's get into it. If y'all enjoy my content, please hit that like button. Please hit that subscribe button and you know what it is. Let's go. This is Ashley McBryde, Arkansas Mud.
Mhm.
Ooh.
Oh, that tone.
>> [music] >> Dude, not only is like that lead opening uh a riff.
Is that what she did?
>> [music] >> Okay, I'll show you how to do that. Kind of reminds me of the Green Day song from back in the day, but um not only is that like little lead riff cool, all the little things that the guitar is doing in the background is so awesome.
Oh, come on.
>> [music] >> Oh.
>> [music] >> Oh.
Oh, THIS IS NASTY.
>> [music] >> OKAY. SO, UH HOLD ON. BEFORE WE GET any farther.
I could tell they're in D tuning.
>> [music] >> Which makes sense because the first note starts on a D.
But uh if anybody wants to play along, it's you start off with this D and then hit the octave.
And then C uh with the octave.
B with the octave and then B flat or A sharp, whatever you want to call it.
So, it's kind of a walk down, kind of like that old Green Day song.
>> [music] >> Remember that one? So.
And then in the while all that's going on, there's just a guitar back there going like doing cool things like that.
Oh, come on. Hold on. Then it got heavy.
>> [music] >> I don't know. I got I got I got to hear that. Come on.
>> [music] [music] >> I don't know. Something like that. Oh, this is Okay, hold on. I'm putting the guitar down because I'm just going to be playing the whole entire time cuz this is nasty. Let's go.
>> [music] >> With the clap.
>> [music] [laughter] >> She's just going through this string of things that are not good and she's like, "I'm trying them all."
>> [laughter] [music] >> There we go. I was literally just thinking in my head. I'm like, "Man, this is totally just rock." I love it, man. I'm here for it. She's saying, "Hey, I'm tired of the radio. I put on some Curtis Lowe and I just I need some rock and roll." And for all those that don't know, Curtis Lowe, Lynyrd Skynyrd, freaking Southern rock. Come on. Let's go.
>> [music] >> Oh, I'm here for it.
>> [music] >> Back to that beginning walk down. Oh. Oh my god, you hear that little guitar?
Come on.
>> [music] [singing] >> Oh.
>> [music] [singing] [music and singing] >> Oh, this is nasty.
>> [music] [music] >> Ooh, I love how the drums kind of went into that after. Dude, whoever is playing the guitar on this track, come on, dog. You are tearing it up.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Oh.
>> [music] >> Oh.
Oh. I like that little touch like bam bam. That little pause coming into that second verse.
Watch this.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Oh.
>> [music and singing] [music] [music] [music] >> Dude, I just want to jam to this the whole Dude, I I just want to play along the whole time. This [laughter] is so sick, dude.
There was one little lick in there that went like something like that. It just sounded so cool.
>> [music] [music] [music] >> Oh.
>> [music] [music] >> Yo.
Oh.
>> [music] [snorts] >> I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS, DUDE. Do you hear the guitar shredding on here? I can't even I can't even begin to imagine trying to Hold on, dude. Listen to this.
Right here.
Now, this one.
>> [music] >> Oh.
>> [music and singing] [music] >> Ooh.
Oh, damn.
>> [music] [music] [music] [music] >> Oh my god.
>> [music] [music] >> Yo. Oh my god. Hold on.
>> [music] >> Oh my lord. Dude, that was so bad to the bone. That was amazing. Okay, like there was so much cool stuff going on in the video. She's just drinking and smoking and living it up in this look like maybe a hotel room or something. I don't know, but the music, oh my gosh. I didn't know Ashley McBryde got down like this. And whoever is playing guitar on that track, woo.
Amen to you, brother. And also if I see Ashley McBryde touring in my area, I have got to go to that that show. I want to see that live. Better yet hey hey, if you come to my area, I hope I can come jam a solo with you guys.
That would be so awesome, man. Let me know what y'all thought about that in the comments below. I'm going to be jamming that all time in my truck. I can already tell. That that track is going into the top of my playlist.
That track. No, that song. That song is going to the top of my truck playlist. Why was that so hard to say? Y'all know what it is.
I'll see you on the next one. Peace.
