[00:00:00]As I, we have we've said it, time and again, there's a there's a global crisis.

[00:00:05]This global crisis is impacting on everyone. The fuel prices are going up across the board. It is not unique to Kenya.

[00:00:12]And the scarcity, as much as the bombing has stopped, the blockade through the state of Hormuz has not.

[00:00:21]We are receiving our cargo at a much higher price than the previous month. You see, we have a a 1-month staggered delivery of cargo.

[00:00:32]So, what is the the the new products that are coming in, the new cargo that is coming in in terms of our fuel, is cargo now that is in actually impacted by the blockade. And because of the scarcity, because of the logistic, uh I think the the price is definitely affected. And yet, because of the G2G, the government-to-government, our security of supply is secure.

[00:00:55]Whatever our G2G partners have decided decided that they will supply to us on a month-to-month have they done so with uh great great great consistency.

[00:01:06]But what then these these these these cargos do, they come with a heavier cost. And that heavier cost has to reflect somewhere. And we we that's why I think the global partnership of uh of community of nations must must assert their moral and power uh and authority on Israel and the United States uh to stop this uh nuisance they're causing the whole world.

[00:01:33]They are affecting prices. There are other countries that are rationing.

[00:01:36]Tanzania has had its prices go up for the last uh two two months or three months. Other it's prices are within the range of uh price hikes across the region.

[00:01:47]And therefore, it it then has a direct impact. It is not denied. But then this was done also at great cost.

[00:01:54]There were subsidies of for think 20 billion shillings that was given to ensure that uh we are able to moderate the the price hikes.

[00:02:03]There was there's been tax reduction.

[00:02:05]Uh and I think it would have been even been worse uh had the state not intervened effectively uh to ensure that uh we keep the the price increase quite quite uh moderated. In other countries, including the US, the price hikes have been 40% there about. And uh that's I think the global average of uh the price hikes of uh uh the fuel across the world. And I I'm hoping that we we will be more assertive in addressing the root cause of this problem. And the root cause is definitely the United States and Israel.
