So apparently Cats are needy, which is why most cat owners are women.
I can feel those comments.
No, I'm just kidding.
That's way too expensive to spill. Hang on a second. Hot dog.
Woo. So cats are really picky according to the interwebs and if their food goes stale, they don't necessarily like it, even barn kitties. So we got them a sealable thing right here. And this I know these are airtight because this is what Case uses for his pellets for cooking. And those pellets sit on the back porch all year long in buckets like this without going stale. So, and we did get him a really nice high protein.
Dude, I don't think I've ever pulled a sticker that clean. We got him a real nice high protein kitty food. Taste of the wild because they're half bobcat. In case you didn't know, we have bobcats.
But Taste of the Wild, this is like 40% protein or something crazy.
It's on there somewhere. Yeah. Check that out, boys and girls. Top score at a minimum. There's 42% protein in here.
We're straight raising bobcats now, man.
Bobcats using a litter box. My goodness, dude. Listen, in a minute, Miss Ray is going to take over this video, and there won't be near as much sarcasm and attitude.
But for now, you get me. No, here's what we're up against. We're making some changes to the kitties. Okay, we have decided we want that little area in the barn to actually kind of be theirs. And a large part of that is due to the fact that they're already slaying mice in there. Okay, they've got like a gosh, what is it? Maybe a 10 by six in there and they're already pouncing on mice.
Seriously. So, they're established.
They're excited. But here's what we had to do. In order to keep them coming back, we got them a litter box. And I know what you're thinking. But yeah, you said there'd be more of a chance of you peeing in there than a cat peeing in there. You're right. You're right. But I put that litter box in there because my wife and I did some research. And we definitely need them to have a home base. And the litter box is key to the home base. Now, they would have done the pine shavings, and that's what we were okay with, but the problem with the pine shavings is if that is their home base, we don't want them using the pine shavings because then we have to clean it all the time. Whereas, if we put a litter box in there, for for example, take my mom and dad, okay? Mom and dad have a litter box, their cats still catch mice. I'm not saying they don't need a litter box. I'm not saying you don't want a litter box. What I'm saying is if mom and dad don't have a litter box, their cats will pee and poop all over the garage cuz that's home base, right? They need a place when there's 2 ft of snow on the ground or a bunch of mud or 4 in of rain to go where they still feel safe in their home base, if you will, cuz mom and dad's cats, they go outside. Mom and dad watch them.
Okay, but we needed a home base. So anyway, they have a litter box. They've got food storage now. And I think what I'm going to decide too, sorry, took a phone call. And yes, in case you're wondering, it is May 20th and it's 53°.
It's freezing. It's legit cold. It's legit cold. May Oh, wait. I got a little cup for him. I got to put that in here.
Goodness.
Give me a minute.
you guys. All right. It's all right.
It's all right. Yeah. Look at this cute little thing.
But apparently cats only get like a cup a day, especially while they're like a cup each, especially while they're confined because we need to make sure for their mental health that they're not getting bored and just flipping out in there and running from us and being scared. We want them to hunt and do all the things they're doing at night. We just need to keep them confined. But we're getting closer. And by the way, did you know that the uh well squirt, we have squirt and splash. Did you know that squirt is called a tor because it looks like a tortoise? Yeah, I didn't know that either, but yeah, the tor.
It's kind of funny. It's a funny word.
Woohoo.
That's not going anywhere.
Woo!
All right, that's super cool. Miss Ray's coming. I promise you won't have to stare at this face much longer. Also, I hate to do this, but Miss Ray asked me to.
So, the other day, and I don't know if Miss Ray got it on camera or not, but we used to have a heated water Well, we still do. We used to have a heated water in this corner right here, and Izzy is now climbing in it. That's right. I know you can hear me, Izzy. Easy pe. All right. She may have fallen back asleep.
She is now climbing in it and dumping over it. She's trying to jump in it and dump it over so that she can have a wallow in here. Hence why it's really wet in here. Now, it's not it's not totally because of IY. I mean, it's only like I don't know 60 70 gallons, but it's causing some problems. We can't leave the hay in here because she comes in and she props herself up and she eats the creep feed which is not cheap and pigs should not be eating it first off.
But we do know one thing. Izzy has a spot right there where Izzy can be Izzy and do whatever she wants. It's plenty big enough. It's just fine.
We just need to get her a little step right there because she's not quite tall enough to get up in it. But what that means is we need to Is that What is that? It's like a shim. I'm going to actually put a 2x4, I think, to start with across the front of here so that Izzy can no longer get in because she's making a big mess in here and we're going through a lot of shavings and it's causing some issues because we can't leave this in here.
Like, we would love to leave this in here so the boys, the cows, always have fresh, dry hay. Plus, this is Timothy hay. It's not the cheap stuff. So, we can get another hay ring out there for like field hay, but this needs to stay in here and stay dry. Well, we got to make it to where Izzy can't get in, but she can get in over there. Now, I don't know if all this is going to happen in this video, but we're going to work on it. But one thing's for sure, that pig will not be neglected. Neither will the cows.
Neither will the kitties.
You know, for somebody who didn't want cats at all, >> you're putting in quite the effort.
>> I already ordered them a sign. They have signage. People are going to notice where they live.
>> They have a sign for their door.
>> Yeah, we have to call it a name. Like Kyle has the cat dominium or something, which is You thought of that in five minutes, man. Come on. for somebody who talks for his animals. I expected like catio.
>> Just saying.
>> Catio's cooler. You bought a sign for their door.
>> I did. Well, you know, these are like ninja kitties, right?
>> Like, you know, Batman has ninja skills.
He's He's karate. So, I got a cat cave.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> The bat cave. I got the cat cave. And then I already told him we're switching to a litter box. And why you can tell them more politely. Yeah, a catio would be super cool. I also learned that they kind of need a porch. Did you know that?
>> So, do you want to show it or do you want to wait till what I ordered got here? Just aim over. Ignore the mess.
Okay, I'm working on it right now. Just aim over that. That hole right there.
Okay. Now, come back to me. Don't say anything about the mess. You're not allowed to. You want to complain about the mess? Come to my channel. I'll tell you what to do with the mess. Anyway, we're going to put a little roof over that because we do get some wind blowing in and some rain. We've noticed the pine shavings are wet. I think I'm telling them stuff you may have mentioned. I'm not sure. I don't think so.
>> But when we do let them out in at least 14 to 21 days, that's the minimum. How long have they been there now? Since Tuesday?
>> Yeah.
>> Wednesday.
>> Yeah.
>> I can't remember. We'll clarify. I'll do some math.
>> I can't either. It's been a little over a week.
>> It's been a little over a week. But at about 14 to 21 days, we can potentially let them out as long as they're still not like hiding from us. Now, we don't care that they hide from us during the day and that they sleep. But what we don't want to do is come out here at night and then scatter and run and hide and not understand what's going on. But when we let them out, we want to have food on that little porch so that they know that that's still food and safety, >> which is where the litter box came into play. But the best part is we ordered them a litter box, right, that they can see out of because they're half bobcats.
That's what we need to start telling people. So that way we, you know, we have cool cats, right?
I got a sign because we got to build we're going to build a little like thing over the litter box and it says the litter room.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Anyway, did you tell them what these are?
>> Huh?
>> They know yet. Do you want me to just you want me to just do it and build them and then we show them?
>> Yeah.
>> Okay, let's do that.
>> Okay, I'm going to finish cleaning out the barn.
>> You guys ready to see something pretty special?
I'd like to make this a flat roof.
That's what we should have done and then just had like a hinged whatever that swung up right here so that we didn't have to do what's about to happen.
I want to apologize in advance for anything you guys see or hear in the next 10 seconds. I can't get in that way.
Can you Can you not lift your leg?
>> No.
>> Hang on. Close this in case they get scared.
>> So, we noticed immediately last night on camera that they like the high ground cuz there's a lot of clips you can put in here, too.
They like the high ground. So, I've cut some boards and I'm basically just going to like tack that right there. And then we'll put a board going across and they'll be able to sit up on it. And then if I could, I don't know, I might find a way to jerryrig like an entire catwalk across here.
But last night, we were watching. We were laying in bed and they come to life at night and we were laying there watching. Remember was Splash up here and he jumped over here.
>> He's sitting on this ledge.
>> But he jumps over here and pounces on mice that have already found their food.
>> Mhm.
>> So that was kind of fun to watch. We used to watch Netflix. Now we just watch our kitty camp.
So, I can put this anywhere because I'm going to use this as a ledge.
So, do you want it like directly over their food? Do you want it right here?
Look, it'll be like this.
>> See that?
>> Mhm.
>> So, what do you think?
>> No.
>> Offset.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> And just so everybody knows, we're going to raise this up. May not happen in this video, but we're going to get this up a little bit.
Very nice. I like it.
>> Like I can put >> I think he'll like it, too.
>> I can put one. We just We just want to be on a stud. Not that these cats are heavy, but if it rocks or shifts on them, that's unstable, obviously. But >> yeah. No, I think that's perfect.
>> So, do I put it here so they can jump to it? I mean, they're athletic little suckers, man. We were watching them last night. I mean, I don't even know how he fits right here.
>> Yeah, I don't either, honestly. But he does. He sleeps right up here. or I don't not sleeps, but he sits right up there.
>> And Squirt Squirt sits on top of the house right there.
>> Well, and it's because we probably It's because we don't have another shelf.
There's no other high ground.
>> Mhm. True.
>> So, but we really if this had another piece of sheeting, we could raise this whole thing up even higher.
>> Mhm.
>> But in the meantime, we can just keep it like this.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> So, what do you think? Like one right here in the middle?
>> Yeah, it's perfect.
Or I could do one down here like that.
>> Mhm.
>> And the next one could go right here.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Let's do that.
>> That's it.
>> That's what they do.
>> No, it's usually more than that.
>> It's a long That's a far cry from a What do I do with it?
>> Just throw it out here. I'm I'm cleaning. Nope.
It didn't go through the hole.
Oh, Chad Doss.
>> That's right. We'll get it next time.
>> No. Now we got to go outside and go get that.
Am >> I doing it right?
>> Yes.
>> Sift it, man. Could you imagine sifting one of Sleepy's freshies? Woo! Look at that, dude.
>> There you go.
>> There's holding that one now.
>> I'm sure this is the video everybody wanted to see.
>> Let me tell you something, man. When I started YouTube, >> out the litter box.
>> When I started YouTube, this was Everybody says, "Did you Oh my goodness.
How'd that even come out of there?
What in the world?"
>> See, you got to dig a little.
>> You guys okay?
>> Let me see.
All right.
You know what I say? You know what I've always told people about animals though?
If you pick up their poop, you're the pet.
>> All right, y'all. She's cleaned and limed. This took me Oh, man. I'm not going to lie. This took me a long time.
But I got everything out of here. Old pine shavings. is like I mean I scraped it to the ground and it's a really it's an overcast day. It's actually in the 50s out here. I'm freezing. I did have to take my jacket off though. But it's a little bit chilly out here and so it was a perfect day to get it all cleaned up and ready for this summer and just get like the all the nasty the wet. You saw earlier that Izzy's actually been tipping over that water thing. So we just took it out completely. It was really really gross over there. It was really wet and it just needed a really good deep cleaning. So, I've been at it all day today. But, this makes me feel so much better. And I'm about to put down some fresh new dry uh pine shavings.
She heard me.
Jilly.
Jilly.
Silly babies.
Look at you go, Izzy pee.
Does that make you happy?
some fresh, new, clean vine shavings in your own little area again.
All right, so I know Chad mentioned it, but I do want Well, hello guys.
I didn't even know they came up here, but I was filling some more loose minerals and putting some fresh stuff in there. But we did mention that I don't want Izzy in here anymore, and I don't.
But the only reason she's been coming in here is because What's up, guys? Hi.
You going to play king of the hill on my new pile? I need to get the skid steer back in here again because I made all new piles. But the reason why she's been going into the main area of the barn is because when I did bring the skid steer in here and clean it all up, I took away her ability to get up in this. Like the ground sits too low. Hey, no. No, we're not doing that. Hey, why don't you go do that with your with your with your brother over there, silly boy. What is going on with your eye?
Do I need I don't I'll go get some pink eye stuff, but that looks I'm not really sure. Something's going on with your eye, Mr. Dude. What' you do? All right, we'll take care of that here in just a second. Chad actually left for a minute and then he'll be back and then I'll have him come look at everything. But anyway, I scraped the ground with the skid steer. Chile. Oh my gosh, he does fit in there. He went in there the other day. Hey, Chile.
Dude.
Oh, my lanta. Anyway, I scraped the ground with a skid steer. Focus ran.
Losing my train of thought here. And I watched her try to get up in her hole one day and realized that she couldn't.
the ground was too low and her legs were too short so she couldn't get up in there. Well, I cleaned out the barn real good and all the shavings again. So, I I put them back. Probably not going to scrape it this time cuz she does need that ability to get up in there. I can build a ramp, but she's also never used one. And I I don't really know how how that would go, but we can try that. But for right now, the ground being like this is perfect. And she seems really happy again.
Yeah. A do you like that? You sweet girl.
Chilly, come here. Can I see your eye?
Come here. Let me see.
Oh goodness.
We'll go get some of that pink eye spray. But what' you do, silly boy?
What's going on, man?
You just turned mushy. Let me see that eye.
I don't know. It doesn't look like it's pink eye or it's red or anything.
Just looks like it's oozing on the side, actually.
H beans, come in here, buddy.
He's so funny.
All right, I think I got everything where I want it now and need it. And we've got the loose mineral. I still have like I had it left over from the ponies, so I'm just using it. I don't even know if they're eating it to be honest. But then they've got their mineral block, their hay, and then I still put the I put the grain in the bottom of it. And for now, Izzy's going to be able to get in here, and that's okay until I can get a board across there. But I do want to keep her out.
Even though I took the water out, she just she has her own little spot over there. So, it's not necessary for her to be in here. But when I I can't pour feed into that grain thing without distracting her or giving her more feed, which in return is honestly making her really really fat. And I need to stop doing that. But I have to give her more feed to distract her so she'll get out because when I pour grain for the cows, she decid she hoists herself up there.
Or she just walks around it and keeps the cows away from it because she's trying to figure out how she can eat it herself. And the cat and chili and beans both won't go up to the feeder because she's just like like circling it trying to figure out how she can eat it herself. And then when she can't reach it, she just plops down right there, right in front of it. And nobody else can get like she's just completely in the way. So she doesn't need to be in here. She's got her own spot. She eats over there on the other side of the barn, which by the way, I'm going to snap my fingers and all this is going to be cleaned up. But it's what I'm working on now is getting everything picked up.
And it's just been a been a day of chores, let me tell you. But that's all right cuz there was a lot of stuff we needed done. And I am gonna talk about the cat enclosure here in just a second.
There's lots of shelves up there and stuff, too. And yes, there's a litter box in there. And I just have so much to tell you. So, hang on.
>> All right. Get him.
>> Man, let me spray your eye.
>> Get him. He ain't going to like this.
Oh, well, that's a bottle cap for you.
Do whatever, Mom. I would do both of them, though. Okay, >> go the other side. That's plenty. That's plenty. Good grief. Trying to drown him.
>> Just making sure. I don't know.
>> He's good. Remember, he was on sale cuz he was a bottle calf. He's all right.
Don't waste that $90 bottle on him.
>> Tastes good.
>> Congratulations, Shil. You're the first calf to get a shot for pink eye that mom still treated for pink eye. No, what' you say? He scratched his eyeball on the garlic thing. And >> well, I just I just had to clean his head off because he just rubbed his head all over that garlic block and it was stuck to him like everywhere. And I don't know, his eyes a little bit irritated. So, with the wind. We've had >> those that's Cole Sunny told us about that. So, anytime we see an eye allergy, we go straight to this stuff >> and it honestly >> you can get it anywhere.
>> Yeah, it dries them up like instantly.
>> This will be the that'll be the next LA300. It's a miracle med that they'll make prescription.
>> Yeah, for sure. But you are dirty, dude.
I know. All the rain.
>> All right, I got it cleaned up. There's my trash pile. We're going to throw it in the back of the side by side and take it to the dumpster, of course. But everything's picked up and tidy again.
Oh, look at the tack room.
Okay, confession time, too. I left this door wide open when we got four to five inches of rain the other night, and now it's swollen and barely closes and shuts. So, good job, Ray. Anyway, she's cleaned and organized. She might not look clean, but she's organized. It's definitely a lot cleaner cuz I had feed sacks and all sorts of stuff. Hay was like spread out everywhere. And yeah, it honest to be completely honest, it was an absolute disaster. But we've got the cat litter. And here's the little treats that I keep talking about the package that I can hold out and squeeze like a tube of toothpaste and let them eat it.
So, there's tons of different flavors.
And then I've got little cat treats that I'm putting in there. Little like little food bowl. There's the litter, extra food, of course. That's the cow feed bucket, Izzy feed bucket, and then all the hay back there, my lime, and my loose minerals.
Not that you guys actually want to know all this, but I'm just happy it's clean and organized now. And we're ready for the summer heat because I'm not going to want to clean and do a whole lot when it's 110° out here. So, super thankful for this overcast day. Currently only 61 degrees, so it was a perfect day to do some chores and deep cleaning. That's for sure.
Oh, well, isn't that super cute? What are you guys doing?
Oh my goodness gracious.
I love it.
Why are you guys cuddling so hard? You cold?
>> Listen, we're having a contest.
to see who can spend the most money on free cats that we don't want. Okay, so first things first, >> don't want he acts like it's all him.
But he has spoiled these babies and I just I just need everybody to know that in his last video he told me that I've spoiled them, but all of this was his idea.
>> Well, I'm trying to get it to where they can get out of there pretty quick. So are you.
>> Yeah, very true.
>> But this will also help. And people might be like, "That's a chicken door."
No, it's not. It's a whatever goes through it door. Okay, but this is a If you want to look it up, it is a chicken door. It's not one we've had before.
Smile forest. Just seems fitting. I smile all the time. I kind of live in a forest. So, but this is Wi-Fi. So what this means is which is likely if we ever have a cat that has an issue or you were telling me today that flea and tick is kind of something you have to treat more common. There's not a lot of three, four, five, six month plans.
>> Yeah, flea and trick flea and tick treatment is more like monthly on cats.
Now we're going to >> I believe you guys may tell me. Yeah.
>> Hey, you know, it's okay. Tell us. They know about the cat litter and all that.
have I have no problem.
>> They know about it from you, but I haven't really addressed it yet.
>> But it's okay. We want ideas. We do. We don't Listen, I'm sarcastic because it's hilarious.
But we want ideas. And if you honestly, the the point right now or that I'm trying to make is if you know of like a flee and tick, maybe it's a collar, you know, raising dog fighters, right?
>> They do have collars for cats. Flee and tick collars.
>> We could never do a collar for the dogs because they wrestle all the time. With >> cats, they could totally get by with it.
>> Yep.
>> And we've got mom and dad, too. We can bug them.
>> Oh, for sure.
>> And Kyle and Shannon. But >> yeah, >> you know, Kyle has fleas, so it doesn't really matter.
>> Oh my goodness.
>> This is Wi-Fi. So, what this means is if we need to treat them or do anything, we can see on camera if they're in the cat cave and we can just close this door with Wi-Fi. So, >> yes, >> if this works out well, I would actually try to put one on the coupe. Like, we need kind of a I need to build another door on the run of our chicken coupe because we're having to put these stinkers up every night and close the big door because raccoons are going in and getting to the chicken feed.
>> Well, if we just had another door we could close because we have a camera in there, we can, you know, get a visual on our chickens. We don't have to collect the eggs if there's only like three or four. And then we could just close this remotely and it's all good. I truly don't mind doing it every night, but yes, I do close the run door every night because we're actually coming.
>> No one would know >> what >> sometimes you don't like doing it. Be honest.
>> No, I love going out there.
>> Do you It's in your PJs and your slippers and you're like, >> I'm not in my PJs or my slippers ever.
No, I I personally >> He's funny. I actually do enjoy going out there. I honestly don't know what he's talking about, but I personally have to have a chicken count every single night. I count them every night and I make sure they're all up and I make sure no one's missing and that's just a piece of mind for me and like so I can sleep. But anyway, >> on the litter box, a couple of you got a little offended that you thought we were like just absolutely berating you because you you know we said they don't need litter boxes and that's that's not the case.
>> To clarify to clarify they don't need a litter box.
>> Right. Right. A lot of you had support and they were like, "Oh my gosh, they're barn cats. They don't need litter boxes." And then a few of you got a little offended that like, you know, hey, we're just suggesting and I know that you guys and I'm I'm sorry that you got offended, but Chad and I >> Me too.
>> We don't know everything when we start >> yourself, lady.
>> Listen, I'm going to have to walk away.
>> Listen, I don't know everything. And >> Mom, I know it all >> and neither does Chad and we know that.
He honestly, he's just being funny. He's joking. A couple of you really think he's serious, though. And some of you just think that he just completely berates his subs and like he's this and that. And I promise you that's not what we're trying to do. But I appreciate you guys so so so much.
>> You had suggestions for the litter box and you guys told us that like, hey, that, you know, where are they going to the bathroom? And so I we did we did a little bit more research and we found out that the litter box actually will help them keep them coming back. It'll help them make them feel at home. It keeps the area clean.
>> Like you guys, we don't want to lose these cats.
>> Mhm.
>> We could have kept them pinned up for like a month with no litter box, but we started looking into what you guys were telling us, which is how do we get them out of there faster? And the fastest way to do that is see if they'll use a litter box. Well, I kid you not, Splash >> took a big old Code Brown in there >> immediately >> in about 30 seconds. Man, that dude. And you saw what I scooped today. He may have been holding it since he got here.
>> And we looked, we were watching on the camera, too, as we were doing our research. We were watching on the cameras. And we noticed him digging in the pine shavings and stuff. And we were like, you know what? I, you know, a a litter box is probably necessary. And I just appreciate you guys for telling us and so forth. But >> I don't know what videos you put in here cuz I haven't seen it, but if you see Splash walking funny or trying to go to the bathroom and it looks funny, remember he just had his wavos.
So, his groin might be a little tender.
So, if he's looking a little bow-legged doing the hover, give him a minute.
>> Yeah, he was just he was just neutered a few days ago, but it's clearly not bothering him and it's not slowing him down at all. We It's been a lot of fun watching him on the camera come out at night and he looks like he is like going after a mouse. I haven't personally seen a mouse yet, but he looks like he's hunting and we think he's gotten one because >> I do think he got one. Yeah, he he really looks like he has gotten one.
>> Well, they post up on that hole every night. Like they know they're coming through there.
>> Yeah. And a lot of you suggested too that cats like to be high and they like to climb on stuff. So that's I we we take all >> on catnip. Sorry. You're going to have to walk away.
>> Even though we talk like we're offended that you're giving us the suggestions and you're making these comments. I promise we're not. We take we read every Well, Chad doesn't read everything, but I do. I read a whole bunch of your guys' comments and your suggestions, and I appreciate you so much. And some of you suggested that they like to be high. So, we've we've taken everything you guys have said into consideration. We added shelves. We added the litter box. We're going to put this cat door on. I take screenshots of the comments and I show them to chat GPT and I'm like Karen 89674 said and chat GPT is like you probably should get a litter box if you don't want to leave it in there for four weeks and I'm like fine Karen >> you use chat GBT too much but anyway yes we I lost my train of thought but we added everything and we actually added one more thing and this was all so it's funny because in his last video he wanted to say that like I spoil them and I'm this and him that. But you guys have to know all of this was his idea.
>> I just threw a cat at you.
>> All his idea. This new thing that I'm about to show you, it's super cute and I can't wait. But >> I wanted one for myself.
>> For yourself? Oh, a real one? Yeah.
>> I wanted one for myself and I can't. And you clogged somebody's pool, so I got the cats one. Stay tuned. No, don't don't jump ahead. Don't say a word.
>> This is adorbs. That's all I got to say.
I had no idea that a little mouse splash going to tear that thing up.
Yeah, he is.
>> Has anyone figured it out? Figured out what it is yet? I'm asking them.
>> This is silly. This is waste of money.
>> I had no idea he even bought this, guys.
Look at this thing. It's legit, man.
Kyle built a barnaminium for his cats.
Kyle built a barnaminium for his cats.
The cats ain't going in that barnaminium.
>> Our cats have a whole barn.
>> Well, I mean, technically Kyle and Shannon just built like a huge shop.
>> Yeah.
>> What's going to be funny is like if we build a shop here in like a year or two and we're like tearing up the cat stuff and then they we pull this down into the woods and then they go to it after we build a shop. How's my wall sting look?
>> It's actually looks a lot better.
>> Really?
>> Yeah. Little swollen maybe >> cuz it feels really jiggly. That's not my arm.
>> Really?
>> No. It's weird.
>> A >> Don't make the wasp mad.
>> Didn't I just leaned over? Listen.
>> Yeah, but you swat at everyone you see.
>> Yeah, I do. I probably killed his mom.
>> Oh my.
>> What? Babe, do they know what it is yet?
>> You finally got your palm tree.
>> Since you don't want palm tree leaves in your filter.
>> We are going to get one one way or another. That's definitely the Chad Doss way.
>> He's going to figure out how to do it somehow.
>> Watch him rip these off. the first night >> Splash is going to think, "What the heck?"
>> So, we've been looking at like personalities of cats and like how to keep them both entertained cuz it actually is kind of a known whatever when you're trying to acclimate them.
You don't want them to get bored. So, how do we solve that? Well, a squirt shouldn't be a problem. She's pretty content just eating, hanging out, being a cat. Splash is cat around and find out. Is that the best way to put it?
>> Yeah. As soon as I leave the barn in the evening and we turn the camera on, he's out immediately and he's looking out his little which is a good thing >> cat door. Oh, zoomed in too far. But he's looking out that trying to figure out how to get out.
>> We also did read and we're going to I'm going to get a piece of trim tomorrow at Lowe's and put it around that door. And this is also an extra-l large door that's it's made for chickens, but it's made for a big rooster. So, it'll be good for the cats.
>> But I'm also going to trim it out because cats don't want to feel anything. So, I'm going to trim that out. Put some 2x4s on it. Blah blah blah. Should be okay. I mean, we never did it for the cows. But remember the cows that were going in like we had Nelly in there first.
>> Yeah.
>> I was like, I'm not putting trim on that door. She's going to smack the heck out of it. So anyway, but for cats, we're going to do this and we're actually going to put this on there and we'll leave it open >> so they'll still be able to look out and all that good stuff. So anyway, raise it up, get them used to hearing it.
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> It's like this. I'll have to trim it out before we do this. This will be another video.
>> Gotcha.
>> Let's go see if they like their palm tree this thing.
>> Yeah. Do we just set it in there or we need to like screw it down somehow?
Well, I could put a board straight across there.
>> They'll probably knock it over.
>> So, chilly man.
>> He wants to check it out.
>> Put it in there.
>> A I love it.
>> Hey, >> that's pretty cool.
>> A Oh, I love it. They got a little scratching post now and a toy. And then I didn't You guys have to see this.
Okay. Anyway, we put the shelves up as you saw earlier. And so we've got one there and we've got one there and then we've got one staggered there. So now and and he this is the original one that he was getting up on. But now he's got tons of spots and hopefully Squirt can use some too. Maybe. Are they in there?
They are. Hi babies.
You okay?
>> Oh goodness. Chilly, please stop.
>> Chilly, no. You're not a kitty.
>> No. No. Down kitty.
>> He's such a mess.
>> He wants to get you a mouse. You want like a play mouse? Mhm.
Play mouse. Play again.
That's going to hurt. Don't do that. You can't do that. That'll hurt.
That'll hurt.
>> Yeah. Don't scratch your face now. His eyes leaking, guys, cuz I because of that spray. But >> treat it. It's not leaking.
>> Yeah. Yeah, for sure.
>> What What are you What are you doing?
That was weird.
>> He's so funny. Chilly, >> dude.
>> They all do it. My cow scratch on a bar wire. They all do it.
>> No wonder your eyeball hurts.
>> Does that feel good?
>> Well, just so you know, when you see those tears, that's actually the dirt or whatever you were trying to get out.
That's That's what that is.
>> Oh, yeah. That makes sense.
>> Yeah. Anytime I spray mine, >> like >> you got to tell people you treated it because they'll people be like, "What is that?"
>> Yeah, for sure.
>> Well, it's just like putting eye drops in our eyes.
>> Makes sense, Izzy. Pee. This is actually what I was talking about earlier. She tried to get in to see if she could eat that grain and she can't actually reach it. So, she just plops down right there and she's just in the way. And now the cows have to like go around and Chile and beans won't eat on the same side because they know that there's food on Well, actually it's Chile who knows that there's food on the other side. So when Beans tries to take a spot, Chile's like, "Dude," and just moves himself.
But they can't do that when Izzy's in the way.
>> I think we're going to have to stand that up on something cuz they're not going to be they're going to knock it over the first night.
>> The palm tree.
>> Yeah, cuz it's Well, it's just uneven.
You could get another uh block like the food and water's sitting on.
>> I still think it'll fall over.
>> The paver.
>> It'll still fall over.
>> Get another paver. And >> I'd rather just run a board right across the thing and screw it to it.
>> Oh, screw it to a board. I gotcha.
>> That's what I'm going to do. But right now, I got to go get the camera because you'll probably pick up some more footage of them playing this tonight.
>> Yeah. But these cats when they come out about 7:00 tonight, they drain the entire camera battery >> within an hour.
>> Millia within about an hour and a half.
>> Yep.
>> It's that fast.
>> But to be fair, we haven't It's solar charging. You see the solar panel right there on the side of the barn.
>> Normally, >> and we have not had any sun in like 3 days. It's been raining like crazy.
>> Yeah, I could bring a battery pack out here and charge it, but it's supercharger in the house >> for sure. I tell you what, this the cedar in here is going to give me allergies or something. It smells strong. I mean, it smells good. It's really nice in here.
>> Pine pine, not cedar. But the >> Well, if they want to know what it smells like, that's sawdust. That's what if you walk into a wood shop, that's >> Yeah. It smells really strong, though, because I I when I say I scraped the barn floor, I mean, I scraped it to the bottom. And so, I got all the nasty stuff out of here. And this is all fresh and clean and brand new. And it it smells really strong, but it smells really good.
Ain't that right, Izzy PE?
>> All right. Yay. Nay.
>> Love it.
Nice.
>> One more.
>> Oo, super cool. And that doesn't move at all.
>> So now it won't move. They can jump on it. They can ninja kill you. They can do anything.
>> We put a little board under there, too.
So the screws weren't poking out.
>> So >> So no worries.
>> So we know what I'm talking about. If we were to screw this in here, the screw would be sticking out. So we put another one underneath it.
A lot of people would think of that, but figured I'd show you.
>> I can't wait to see you play tonight.
>> Is Squirt in that box?
The other one.
She's not in there.
>> She in it?
>> She's gone.
>> No, she's not. But I saw her ears. She's in that one, right?
>> Yeah.
>> Oh my gosh. She's behind Splash.
>> She's a little >> That light may bother them. I don't know.
>> She's a little scaredycat. Poor baby. A All right, we got the camera freshly charged. So, we're going to hook it back up here. And I can't wait to see them play tonight. I'm so excited.
>> They will, too. They >> So, stay tuned after I tell you guys goodbye. Stay tuned because the I'll have some after footage hopefully of them. Did you get yourself again?
>> Yep.
>> Yeah, the the fence is sharp. It's a little sharp. It's It's only sharp in the areas that obviously we can get cut.
The cats are fine, but we've got ourselves a couple times. But anyway, after I tell you guys bye here in just a second, stay tuned to hopefully get some some camera footage of them tonight, like while we're in bed. So, I hope they play with it. And this is super fun.
Oh, the little mouse. I love that. Oh.
Uh-oh. There we go. Stick him back out so they can see him.
Well, anyway, I love their little area.
All their shelves, food, water, two houses, even though they only use one.
litter box, a toy, a window. So cute.
Love it. The awesome thing about this, too, is screwing it down. Now, they can actually like step on this and it won't go nowhere. So, it's pretty sturdy.
All right, got the camera back up.
I can't wait.
All right, guys. With that being said, I'm actually going to let you guys go and get out of here, and I will see you on Sunday. But thank you, thank you, thank you again for all of the the cat suggestions and everything that you guys said that might make it easier and just like the litter box. And I'm glad you guys a lot of you mentioned litter boxes and that they will use them because it got us thinking more and got us doing a little bit more research. And I just appreciate it a lot.
>> Did you clarify? No matter what comes out of our mouths, and by our I mean me.
We do we do listen to you guys, okay? We truly do. And we're very, very appreciative, okay? If you are offended by my sarcasm because this is Ray's channel, I am genuinely sorry from the bottom of my very, very deepest part of my heart. I'm sorry.
>> I am sorry. I am I don't ever mean to offend. I handle everything with sarcasm because it's hilarious. just one of those people. But I can be very serious, too. But I'm mostly serious about making sure all of our animals have everything they need.
>> Absolutely.
>> So, that's what we that's what we appreciate. We want you to understand.
>> We don't mean to make it sound like the comments and stuff get to us, it just, you know, when there's so many, you know, it anyway, I I don't know what I'm trying to say, but I love you guys so much. We >> I digress. Is that the right word?
>> Yeah. But anyway, yeah, thank you always so much for the support and I will see you on the next one. You all right there? You poor little finger.
>> I know.
>> Bandage again.
>> All right, bye guys.
