In trading card collecting, lower print quality can paradoxically increase the value of top-tier mint condition cards because the grading ratio becomes more difficult to achieve, creating scarcity that benefits collectors seeking perfect specimens while making it easier for casual collectors to obtain cards with imperfections.

Disney Lorcana’s biggest PROBLEM benefits YOU (The Collector)インデックス作成:
Disney Lorcana’s Wilds Unknown has been an extremely impressive and strong set, but what stands out the most is the lack of good and accountable print quality and control. Let’s dive in on how this can be good and bad for you as a collector! #lorcana #disneylorcana #lorcanatcg #lorcanacommunity #lorcanacontent #lorcanacards #lorcanatradingcardgame #wildsunknown #ravensburger #youvegotafriendinme #touchthesky
Welcome back to another video here on First Class Collection. Tonight we're going to dive in and talk about the print quality and control of Disney Lorana's Wilds Unknown. It has been terrible. These cards, the quality of these cards have been terrible. The artwork is top tier. It's being disrespected in my opinion. The way these cards are being printed out with white scuff marks on the bottom corners, completely shifted centering, hard cuts.
This is a complete lack of respect for the artists who are, you know, creating the artwork for this set in my personal opinion.
All right. And I'm a collector. I do collect sealed product, but Disney Locana has really opened my eyes up to collecting cards, you know, specifically adding cards to my PC. Um, these are just a couple. You've already seen these. I'm waiting on the other ones in the mail, watching those like a hawk right now. Right now, I mean this message in the most respectful, well-mannered way to Robinsburgger, but also to everybody who collects or plays Disney Lana. You know, especially other content creators. You know, I respect y'all. I respect, you know, where Disney Lorana is going. And I think that they have a very, very bright future, especially with Robinsburgger. My only concern is that the quality control isn't meeting the same expectation as these artists who are putting these incredible pictures of nostalgic characters and, you know, re revamping and remaking memories that we all grew up with, right? There's definitely a lack of like here's the print quality and here's the expectation for the artist and they're they're overshooting this expectation but Robinsburg hasn't really met that yet with the print quality. Okay, that's my rant on the print quality. Now, what I want to talk about as far as the collecting aspect of this side goes. Okay, so it's it's a double-edged sword here. So, you got two sides of the sword, right? You got the side where well if you have a thousand copies of whatever card you're picturing in your head right now that you love, you have a thousand copies of that card and only a hundred of those are top tier mint condition and most likely going to grade a 10. Well, the value of that card is going to jump drastically, right?
Because now the odds of you getting a 10, the gym mint ratio or percentage becomes much lower, right?
But if you're just a basic collector and you just want to attain this art in your collection and you don't care whether or not it's got a scuff or whitening in the corners, you don't care if it's offcentered, you don't care if it's got a hard cut with sharp edges, well then you're kind of in luck, right? Because it doesn't really matter what you pull from a box or what what you buy on eBay or TCG player, you're probably going to get what you want. Okay? But that in my opinion does make the value of those top tier cards more valuable.
Um it gives them more of a premium because it's harder to get that card in that gym mint 10 condition. Okay. So uh and you know I think as a collector you have collectors who just want to get the card in their PC because they enjoy the art. But then you have collectors who take it a step further and they want that perfect gym mint 10 card, you know, that's never going to, you know, touch oxygen in its life. They want that card just like sealed in time, right? So there definitely are different tiers of collectors and different types of collectors. So you got to keep that in mind. Another thing I wanted to talk about is the expectation of these cards and the value perceived for each card when you're purchasing them on eBay or TCG player. Okay. So, and what I mean by that to kind of, you know, make the language a little easier to understand, you could buy like right now on eBay, let's just make up a random card. Let's say it's touch the sky, right? you can buy that card for a hundred $100, right? And there's a picture and that like the person took a bunch of pictures and you can see like, oh my gosh, this card is most likely going to grade a 10, right? But then you look down a couple cards further and that same Touch the Sky card. Someone else posted their own card on there and it's $200 and there's two pictures that are terrible. You can't see, you know, how the alignment is because there's a penny sleeve and a top loader on it. The angle is terrible.
They're just trying to show you the the glimmer of the card, right? So, as a collector, as an investor, you need to be wise when you're purchasing these cards. I've got burnt before buying cards that I didn't look at pictures of. Um, I've also, you know, just there's people out there who are paying a premium for a card that's not going to grade a 10. And then there's people out there who are getting lucky or taking a little extra time to look at pictures. And, you know, sometimes you pay less for a better card. Sometimes you don't, sometimes you pay more. But that's why you need to know what you're buying before you purchase it. So, look at these pictures. You know, really look with a keen eye. Be smart. Again, it's your hard-earned money. I understand that the the artwork in these cards are top tier, and I'm telling you, Wild's Unknown is a top tier set, but we need to see better quality for Robinsburgger.
If not, you know, it is what it is. You know, you're just going to get these cards that are super super valuable because, well, the gym rate is super low, which is fine. you know, that's fine if that's the route they want to go. Um, but I think there are a lot of diehard Disney Lorcono fans out there who would appreciate to have the print quality match the top tier S tier artwork. So, this is the the video I have for y'all today. I hope the message gets out to you well. Make sure you leave a like, leave a comment of your favorite card from Disney Lana this far. Um, and maybe a card that you're thinking about picking up. Until next time, take care of
