They Turned Schrodinger's Cat Into A Puzzle Game!

[00:00:00]This is simultaneously a quantum physics puzzle game and an excuse to make a puzzle game about cute cats, but you won't know which one it is until you view it. Welcome to Schroiger's Catburglar. I got to hold on a button to get through the gate, but the gate goes up as soon as you get off the button.

[00:00:15]So, what you got to do is use quantum physics to separate the cats into two entities. One which can go over and then you can run back over on this side and merge. And you could also do another thing with the cats such as push both these buttons at the same time. Get in here. Quantum kitties. Eisenberg wheels will not let you pass if you are split.

[00:01:26]An intermediate Heisenberg field. Huh.

[00:01:29]Okay. Well, a button that I wish I could press, but here's the thing. We got Heisenberg field here. So, I have to disable it. And only once I've disabled it, we can actually start doing some stuff. All right, let's go. Kitty making on over here. Uh, but we are currently split. So, let's go check on this stuff.

[00:01:48]Got a thing that can power on this machine. Ah, okay. Okay, which could be a heavy object working with nice big weights. All right, get back together, cats. Wait, the weight isn't good here.

[00:02:00]What the weight actually needs to do is go through the Heisenberg field and here. Yeah. Yeah, cuz we need to open that door, right? And now at least I can make it this far. Split up again and get through. Away we go.

[00:02:14]And now we got advanced Heisenberg Fields. Let's put it all together. Huh.

[00:02:20]All right. Big puzzle here. First things first. Oh, wait. This this button automatically splits us. Okay, that's interesting. How about I go Wait, wait, wait a second. I need four cats. That's the only thing that makes sense, right?

[00:02:36]Or at least like four things, I guess, cuz at least we have a heavy object, I suppose. At least lets me disable one of the fields. Well, here's the thing.

[00:02:52]What happens if I split while split? I can't double split. I can disable this gate. Is this let me do anything? No. C Can I do anything else? Um, wait. Could I duplicate the heavy object? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yeah, yeah, hold on. What if I split while holding it?

[00:03:14]Yeah. The only way this possibly makes sense is if I'm holding the thing and then split up. Yes. Actually, yes. Wait, that's Oh, that's very interesting.

[00:03:25]Wait, but as soon as I said set it down, only one was holding it. Or maybe I misread what happened. No, they're both definitely carrying a heavy object.

[00:03:36]That's interesting. As soon as it's dropped, then it ceases being quantum.

[00:03:40]That is very interesting. Okay. Well, let's see. All right. Hypothetically, if I split here, can I drop at the same time? No. Only one will be able to drop it. Oh, and as soon as one picks it up, then suddenly both are holding it again.

[00:03:56]Well, how does this let me get to four then? Yeah, right. Cuz that that's three. Okay, maybe I need to better understand the machines in the upper right and upper left. Like it looks like maybe I could possibly manage to merge the kitties from across different areas.

[00:04:15]Like usually they have to be right next to each other to recombine. But maybe this would let me combine.

[00:04:22]NO. OH, I NEEDED to do this to get a second weight. And this was the only way I could set it up. So that's how that works. Okay. But yeah, that lets me get my second weight. And now we can have four objects. Okay. Good lord, that was tricky. Love the puzzle. I like that uh we discovered a lot along the way. I'm really curious to see how we can use these quantum weights in a puzzle as well. Yeah, just when you least expect it. Quantum physics. Next up, items aren't the only things you share. Or really, what else do I share then?

[00:04:55]Dropping through the floor. All right, starting on opposite sides of the level.

[00:05:00]So, what's going on? I can pull lever to at least disable the Heisenberg field.

[00:05:06]Okay. Well, let's go grab this item.

[00:05:11]Oh, except I can't pick it up because the other quantum twin can't pick it up.

[00:05:18]Uh, well, hold up. What happens if I let go of the field? Well, then my other quantum self can't move. So, it's trapped in that field. So, I'm going to go go and pull this lever at least to let this come and drop down. Okay, that's interesting. So, at least I can run here and merge now. Nice thing about merge is at least I can grab this quantum object, bring it out, and then I could split and maybe have one. Oh, wait. No, doesn't work. Like, I want to pick up the key card thing and bring it on through. But then I also can't pull down the lever, at least until I drop it. Okay, so hold on then. Why don't I pull down the lever with this cat? Cuz at least the orange one can come in through and pull this down. And that might make it so. Okay, both these doors are open. Yeah, but I still need the diamond card. What am I missing? I mean, I need both buttons to open the door.

[00:06:16]This is tripping me up. I actually don't know how I would rescue the item. Does merging help? No, probably not. Well, I guess another thing I could try is go through this gate. No, that's a that's a blue gate and orange can't make it around. Yeah, orange can't make it to the other button. Damn, this is hard.

[00:06:36]Okay, what if blue cat comes over here and pulls this? That doesn't help. No, I was hoping it would actually attach this other wire, but I think that's more just the purple key card leading to this orange door. Oh, wait. I do have to use the quantum ability here. So, if blue picks up the key card, then orange also has it and can then bring it over here.

[00:06:59]Aha. Oh, and that flips the polarity.

[00:07:02]Very interesting. Okay. Okay. Well, let's uh experiment with flipping both doors then. Cuz if orange could handle the top, right, then blue could be on the bottom. Yeah, blue's got to run through. Grab this here.

[00:07:18]Okay, hold on. Wait. I like where this is going cuz we have orange grab the key card again which means that blue also has it and then could use it on this. So now that I've swapped the doors I am pretty sure the uh orange cat can go to the top and blue cat to the bottom. Wow.

[00:07:36]Okay. Okay. I really had to think for that one. What a nice tricky puzzle.

[00:07:40]What's wild is this is only the intermediate one. We got an advanced puzzle coming up. But first we got a some sort of hacking break. What's going on here? We breaking an end ring, kitty.

[00:07:52]Yeah, I think we are. What's going on down here? Get this door open. What is What just happened? Okay, I'm not sure.

[00:08:01]How would I split up and look for clues?

[00:08:03]Emphasis on split up cuz maybe I could press these two buttons and then get in.

[00:08:09]Aha. What have we here? A hacking module with money. Oh, we're rich kitties now.

[00:08:16]All right, the brain massage has ended.

[00:08:18]Let's do the advanced item sharing.

[00:08:20]Definitely needed a little brain cool down cuz I'm sure this one's going to absolutely destroy the brain. So, I got a button here, which actually does not help at all. Wait, I I can't pass through either of these gates with blue.

[00:08:33]So, orange is the only one that can do anything. Oh, okay. But if at least the blue could come through like this. So, then orange could come through and then blue could get off and then come through. And then once they're both through, at least they can merge. Okay.

[00:08:47]Okay. And at least the gate can be opened. And then I could split off from here. So I could hold down that. Have orange go through. We're making progress. But I got to get both kitties through that. Well, that's going to be a bit of a journey. All right. We got a little dumbbell here. Good old heavy object. I could hold that down to open it. Oh, but I feel like I got to figure out the whole thing at once right now.

[00:09:11]Well, cuz Oh, and this door destroys objects. Oh, no. Okay, that that's just another wrinkle.

[00:09:21]Okay, so my thought was leaving the object down here and then having this come through. But here's the thing. Only blue could get through right now. Is it ever going to change to orange? No. I need um something on the other button for that. So maybe I need to go back then. Like from here, hold down this button and then have orange go through and then have blue come in afterwards.

[00:09:45]Honestly, I think it's cuz my brain's leveled up. But I definitely had an easier time with this than the previous one. I think it was just that though.

[00:09:51]The brain needed to level up. And now once the brain is fully charged, quantum physics will be my We got robotics now. Annoying little robots.

[00:10:01]It's a Roomba. You of course you can jump on it. I would like to ride the Roomba around. That's interesting.

[00:10:08]quantum splitting wall on top of it flips it over possibly to disable it.

[00:10:14]Okay, so I need actually my cats right now to work together one through here and then the door can flip. So now that I'm over here, okay, I see what must happen, right? If I pick up the weight with one, I would have to then drop it so the other one can go down. Uh, but the robot picks it up, you prick. Give me that back. Give me that back. Rude.

[00:10:38]Okay. What if I block it with my body?

[00:10:42]Well, that works. Uh, however, I still need to get to the door. That doesn't help me. Oh. Oh, eventually gives up. It gives up. It gives up after time. And maybe it will ungive up now. Yeah. And then let me through. All right. You have to master it. All right. Please put in the trash. All right. Thank you. Now that it's in the trash, I can get it back again. Actually, let's just leave it here and get the other two buttons.

[00:11:13]This one's advanced. I see. I see what button you're facing. Well, I guess right from the beginning, I can just run through all of it. No. No. Maybe. Oh, there's a third door. I see. I see. So, it has to really alternate with button pressing. Well, there's only one thing I can do over here, and that would be create something here. which Oh, the Roomba should pick up and then put into a little hole here. Well, so that's nice.

[00:11:41]Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Roomba's angry. It went there. And what I almost need to consider Wait, this doesn't make any sense. If I drop the heavy object, I can't actually get through the door.

[00:11:53]Somehow, I need the Roomba itself to help me out cuz I need the object on the button now. Oh, wait, wait. I think I know what I can do. I have an idea. The Roomba is going to go towards the object, right? It's always going to go towards it, probably in a straight line as Roombas like to do. Well, what if the Roomba is the thing that triggers the button and I just set it up so this object is like way way like back here, right? I think we're on to something here. I just need to hope it glances the button. Wait, this is fine. It's fine.

[00:12:26]Okay, it'll hit it on the way back. I may have neglected that Roombas can also go diagonal. Are you not going to touch that button, you prick? Oh. Oh, it deliberately went around it. Oh, I thought I was being clever there. U Well, may maybe there's a better positioning that works in my favor, but I wouldn't count on it seeing that it deliberately moved out of the way. Like I could try to set this up maybe near it. So, it's like the button is almost unavoidable, but I don't know. Oh. Oh, it's going for it. Okay. Okay. You have to outsmart the Roomba. Yes. Yes. Okay.
