A bold exercise in public accountability that turns "forbidden" industrial sites into a transparent lesson on sustainable engineering. It’s high-tech voyeurism with a purpose, making the invisible backbone of our society impossible to ignore.

Hello there, buddy.
>> Oh, hello.
>> What can we do for you today? Where's Where's Where are you going to be flying there? We have a biomethane, gas bags, digesttors. From our point of view, ideally, we wouldn't like it.
>> All I can do is reassure you that I am aware of the risks and I'll fly safely.
So, welcome back to the channel, guys.
Today we are here in London, an N9 postcode and we've come to take a look at this place, Temp's Water North London Network Operations.
I think it says that right just there.
North London Network Operations Center.
Quite an important place.
keeps the water flowing across the capital. Apparently, they've got lots of sewage treatment works down in that direction. And right now, we have taplain toilet hire come to empty that. I would have thought we can also see Murphy's compound entrance. So Murphy's possibly some some works going on, some building works. I know Murphy's are heavily involved in infrastructure works.
We do have a train line. I've heard it a couple of times already. Seems quite frequent.
And we also have a gate house. Of course, we have a gate house with security gates which are opening right now. Look quite fast. Fast openers.
And the visitors and deliveries park in the layby.
You don't need to use the intercom because there's actually somebody in the gate house here. It's manned and they've got all this stuff to read. Please sign in and provide a contact number.
We will not tolerate physical or verbal abuse.
Neither will we. We just want a nice peaceful video here on this massive Temp's Water North London site. Now, according to CH GPT, Temp's Water is the UK's largest water company, supplying millions of customers across London and the Souththeast.
North London has a huge underground network of aging Victorian era pipes mixed with modern infrastructure and operation centers like this are critical during burst mains, flooding incidents, drought conditions, pollution events, sewer collapses.
So I'm not sure if there's any more I can say. I am trying to stand on this little pavement area here off their sight and not get in the way or anything like that. But there is a sign. I just want to read this sign just to see what that actually does say there.
Deep's Oh, that's an education center.
Is it is it T's water still? Yes, it's still water. So, yeah, just doing a little YouTube video about the site.
about this side.
>> Yeah, the operation center, Temp's Water, North London.
>> Did they give you approval?
>> No, I'm not coming on.
>> I'll just stay on the pavement. I've got a little drone as well, so I'll get some images. I don't need to come on today.
Oh, >> okay.
>> Just you see YouTube videos about all sorts nowadays, don't you?
>> Yeah. Yeah, I do. Okay. I'm just wondering. Just wondering.
>> I know. It's nice to know what people are up to, ain't it? I'm going to stand on that paper. I just want to read that sign there. What's that? Like a school, education center. Yeah, it's like education center for training.
>> Just for staff or for like kids to come and learn.
>> I think for staff >> just for staff. Yeah, >> it was much use. So >> not being used much nowadays.
>> I'm not sure. I I mean they use it inside. So I don't know have a different >> I also noticed Murphy's here. Are they building some extensions or something?
>> Are they doing some works inside? I'm not sure if I can give you the information.
>> That's okay. Don't get yourself in trouble. I'll just take the drone over and have a look at what I can see.
>> Let them know you're here.
>> Yeah, I'm just on the pavement. Not coming on site.
>> Okay. Well, you know, they will see on the cameras anyway, so they will ask.
>> Yeah, I'll be here for about half an hour. So, plenty of time.
>> No worries.
>> Thank you.
Plenty of time for them to come and sus me out.
explosive atmospheres may exist.
All right. Okay. So, maybe um biomethane.
Yeah, bio gas. Look.
All right. A tech certified electrical equipment only in this area. So, we'll try and avoid that area because I've had this before. They say the drone is not ATEX certified.
authorized personnel be on that point only.
And the following items are prohibited.
So, they're really strict, aren't they?
Look.
So, certain areas within there are quite highly restricted really, aren't they? According to that sign.
Now, the the brains, the main operation center is over there. Look. And I don't know about you, but they look like porter cabins to me.
So, nothing fancy here, but the gates are quick. Quicker than some police station gates I've seen while they're responding to emergencies.
Oh, and they have to stop as well. Look, they have to stop to let the gate close.
really is high security here at Temp's Water. We'll just see what this vehicle is coming out here and then we'll consider about getting David up.
There's another one of their nice vehicles. Look, they're running on 23 plates.
They're here for you 24/7 10's water. And here's a nice Scania G410.
Oh yeah. Bit unusual. I think that one.
Is it one of those gully suckers?
Unblocks your your drains on the public highway. Something like that. Capcom comi it says. And you can just hear in the background a train passing just behind. So there's going to be lots to see. Let's crack on with it. Let's get David up and see what this place looks like from the Yeah.
>> So, I have noticed this vehicle here has stopped after he noticed the drone.
So, they seem on high alert here, but I am checking on the drone map right now.
And as shown there, there are no flight restrictions in the area. So, North London Network Operations, Tennis Water.
Let's have a look at you then, shall we?
Oh, this gentleman is stopping.
>> Hello there, buddy.
>> Oh, hello.
>> What can we do for the other day?
>> I just spoke to the lady. I'm not coming on.
>> Where's Where's Where are you going to be flying there?
>> Um, wherever I think's safe. Really? I'm just going to have her make a little video for YouTube, but I've noticed that you've got some ATEX areas.
>> Quite a lot of them. Yeah, >> 90% of the site is AEX.
>> Yeah, on the ground ground level, but obviously airspace is slightly different.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, >> slightly.
>> I'll fly safe there.
>> But where are those? That's what I want to know.
>> Well, I don't know until I see them.
I'll see the areas. What you got?
Biomeane areas, have you?
>> Yes, we have biomethane, gas bags, digesttors.
>> Yep. So, I won't go over them.
>> Fuel cells.
>> I won't go over any cells.
>> Ideally, we wouldn't like you to.
Obviously, we can't stop you.
>> Yeah. From our point of view, ideally, we wouldn't like it.
>> All I can do is reassure you that I am aware of the risks and I'll fly safely.
>> I'm just here to make an innocent YouTube video about the site. That's all.
>> I messed make a phone call.
We'll give him the respect and just wait for a few minutes while he makes his phone call.
He's been fine with us so far when he said, "I cannot stop you."
So, we like him so far. So far so good.
Right. So, just like the M boss, not a problem. The areas I really like you stay away from is over on the far side.
You'll see eight uh tall tanks, concrete tanks. Side that two gas bags and the biomeane plant.
>> You just keep away from that corner of sight.
>> Yep.
>> All good.
>> Thank you. Right then mate. Nice one.
Cheers. Take care.
>> Any problems? Just give get security to come and get me because there was someone outside and obviously being a cover side, we've had a few breakins recently. So, >> yep. No problem. Thank you.
Okay, let's crack on. Avoid them areas as agreed.
>> Take off.
>> So, there we are. A nice height for this one. 72 m.
And the boss who's concerned about breakins and hostile attention is just going back onto site now. And he mentioned as you all heard over this side that area there which we would have avoided anyway cuz that is clearly the biomane processing area. up where they store the gas in those domes in those bagged tanks over there.
Having another scout around. I would also avoid that area there. Look going directly over the installations.
Here's how close the train track is to us. We're standing just there and the train track is there. That's why we can hear it so clearly.
So, let's have a plan of action. Let's just fly across here. First of all, there's some generators. Look, I don't know whether they're powered from the gas. Quite a few covered areas to treat the water. Now, we do need to maintain that line of sight, remember.
So, let's just get a bit higher here and use the zoom for a moment.
So, looking down at my position just down there at the blue security gate house box, >> that's it. Yeah, >> DJ.
>> That's it.
>> Yeah. Nice to meet you. Can I one of your cards?
>> Yeah, come back, mate. Nice to meet you.
>> Nice to meet you. Yeah.
>> Take care. Cheers.
As I was saying, yeah, that's uh where the security gate house is down there, the blue hook and the car park just to the left. Quite a large car park with lots of tens water vehicles. Also got lots of black plane vehicles down there.
Look. And the back of the offices, which look even worse from behind.
Then they start treating water, letting all the little bugs eat away at the nesters, sit there for a little bit, go into different tanks, and then ready to release. And as we fly over the nonhazardous areas, the drone is very, very small over there now. So, I won't be going any further away from my position.
We can now see they've also got lots of solar panels on site. book using that empty grass area to generate some electricity via solar.
So, we are now directly over a tarmac road.
And I'm not going to get any closer to this lot. Just want to see how full the tanks are there. And they're quite empty. Look, quite empty areas. So, maybe some works going on. And a channel down there. Look where the water either enters or leaves the site.
Yeah, very strict around this area here.
Lots of gases that are easily ignited and they don't want to take any risks at all, do they?
And if you didn't know, the technical term is anorobic digestion.
Human waste and sewage sludge are collected and pumped into sealed digesttors where bacteria break the material down without oxygen. During the process, the waste produces a gas called biomethane, mainly methane. And then the gas can be burned to generate electricity, used to heat the site or cleaned up and injected into the gas grid. And the leftover solid material is often treated further and sometimes used as agricultural fertilizer.
So there we go.
We all pay our local water authority to handle the waste and then they go and make money, further money from that waste nowadays. Who would afford it? E.
So that's what we have on this site. Now if we just come back a little bit closer, we'll get to the Murphy Green compound down here. Look. And all we can see really are blue pipes.
So maybe it's the um partner of choice for repairing and digging up the roads when the local area here in North London have issues with the water supply or suridge.
Murphy are their partner of choice obviously. So there we go. Let's get the whole site in one shot if possible. I can hear a train going past now. Can we get a glimpse of that? Yes, we can.
There it is.
Going up in that direction. Nothing special. Let's continue attempting to get the whole site in one shot.
Well, we've got absolutely no chance, have we? No chance at all. But there's my best attempt. The whole site in one shot. I will be able to get it all in one shot from a 360 degree photo which I'll add to Google Maps. So, let's do that now. And taplins are just leaving sight now with an empty tank. So, the location of the DJ Audits key ring on this video will be just behind the PPE sign just there. Look. So, if you are one of the first people to watch the video and you do want a key ring, good luck with that.
Nice work. temp's water turning our waste into electricity. Once again, we're seeing that more and more on these sewage treatment sites. And of course, they respected our right to make the video and fly the drone.
just helped us out with the areas that are dangerous that if the drone fell into could potentially cause a spark and just disrupt loads of people. We just want to fly responsibly and safely and promote that really and rather than say I'm not telling you where the dangerous areas are or no, you're just not allowed to do it. You know, they worked with us which is great to see.
So, thank you very much Tame's Water North London operation center. Let's move on. If you have enjoyed that video, do give it a thumbs up for me and I'll see you on the next one, guys. Bye-bye for now.
