The video offers a refined synthesis of the Vatican’s immense cultural density, making the intersection of religious power and artistic genius both intimate and accessible. It is a thoughtful visual essay that respects the scale of history while maintaining a clear, observational focus.

So, we made it to where are we?
>> Vatican.
>> Vatican. And uh lots of friends are here too >> as you guys can see. Uh funny thing though is uh this is the line with tickets and the other line with no tickets was >> I was like why people waiting outside really long line, right?
>> The taxi driver said that'd be like an hour. So I would say get tickets if you can. And I don't even know.
>> No, I think it's kind of >> Oh, you don't want to let you in? Maybe.
>> No, you should. You kind of must. So, we're inside and then you just decide if you want audio guide or not.
>> So, there's a welcome desk and then um this is like the big entryway. It's kind of like the airport actually at the Vatican. And once you get inside ticket, they do let some people in theoretically. It says buy tickets here and we're going in this filator and a cool boat going on in. So, the first thing that's really noticeable is just how big this place is.
>> Yeah. Basically, this is one country.
>> Yeah. and and there's um people everywhere and we're at opening which is kind of crazy in itself. So I guess the what it could do is just follow troop around.
>> I thought about that but they're going to notice.
>> Yeah.
>> So now we're going through another area.
>> This is really an amazing building. Sign of the different ways we could go.
>> Where should we go?
>> Well, this is going to be the most popular here, of course. Right. But we heard they kick you out after you get there. There's the other direction.
Also, that area behind us is actually blocked off, but you can see how cool it is. Um, the whole building is really quite spectacular.
This is a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be. Yeah, this this this is a mustsee.
I actually enjoy this more than Coliseum. It's a lot less crowded >> cuz it's a lot bigger.
>> Yeah, this is surprisingly really good.
I always like the outdoor areas. um of these kind of places. It's open air, good weather. So, you can see these kind of rooms. There's just artifacts as you call on either side. It goes on pretty far.
It's It's amazing. Yeah. This is This is amazing. I I haven't seen anything like this. I mean, I've been to a lot of museums, but I like this. You got to go.
I like this coliseum already. This is This is really amazing.
>> There's another corridor. You can see what it looks like. Then you have nice views of the city out there.
Well, there's Yi. You can see all the sculptures, fountains, and the crowd's not too bad right now. There's Gi. And then we have a view of the city, better view of it here. So impressive.
>> Oh my god. Every now I feel like the Met, which is in New York City, is like a copy of this place cuz this is actually my favorite part of the Met is this sort of these sculpture gardens. So people talk about the Sistine Chapels, but I'm just telling you guys it's it's more than way more than just that. I'm I'm even shocked how nice this is. You see this? Yeah. This this is really really cool. Then we're looking at this and then there's like a big toe there. So I wonder if that would be a much bigger statue that's you know not here anymore. Then there's like these little rooms you're looking at.
And this is like a sculpture.
>> Then this kind of areas are roped off and you can just see what these rooms look like. It's it's really a lot. So it's funny. It's like a church would be just be one of these. go and look at it.
But this the whole thing is like that kind of stuff.
>> You see the ceilings above us, right?
>> What can you say? You can see up here.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, there is. Yeah, they're talking about the pantheon. So, I was actually surprised to see this stuff. So, it's like um Greek mythology things. You got centaur and you actually have Medusa's head in the middle there. And I thought it was just going to be Jesus stuff, but it's not. It's a lot of different things. So, yeah, it reminds me of Clash of the Titans if you guys know that movie. So, we got led into this room.
Actually, they had it blocked off. Um, and this is like Egyptian stuff basically, which everyone likes Egypt stuff. It's cool. You know, it's like this kind of stuff from the movies, right? It's cool. I mean, who doesn't like mummies? That's the best.
This has got like stars up there. Oh, yeah. And you just go down these cool hallways.
You can see the ceilings of these kind of buildings.
>> And we're just kind of taking it in.
>> Go see some more here.
>> So look.
>> Yeah. Just enjoy sharing the experience with you guys. You can see what it what it feels like here. It's hard to show you everything because it's the ceiling and the floor. So, you see the floor that we're walking on.
>> 30 days. You have to say your name before you come here.
>> Definitely. So, here's another impressive room. So, it's like tapestries on either side. So, looking at the ceiling here, you think it's actually flat but painted to look 3D.
That's probably right. And then the tapestries, uh, we have nine of them here, but I think there's 12 total. So, I'm not sure the other three are. And then it goes down the corridor. That is a tapestry. And it's different than a painting. So, it's impressive. You'd have to sew all this together. Right.
So, this is the map room, I think. And you can see the ceiling that way. Try to go that way and then that way. And we'll talk walk through it a bit. And see, everyone's taking a picture.
>> Here the entrance.
>> You there?
>> Yeah. like here.
>> Yeah. Right behind it.
>> Yeah. Fantastic.
>> Give you more of the tour of the map room.
So, I thought the garden place was pretty good, but uh >> that was your star.
>> Yeah, they're all they're all pretty good, but this is one of the better rooms for sure. So, if you come, you definitely have to come see this this area. You have the map view there, and then you have a nice view and a >> breezeway. Weather is good. That's why they opened the window.
>> Yeah.
>> Hot.
>> I could imagine if there's too many people cuz >> like air then air is kind of bad here, >> right?
>> So I I had imagined it was going to be like literally shoulderto-shoulder with people, but it's like we're you can see we actually have this whole space to oursel. It's pretty good.
>> This room reminds me of the mirror room at the very side.
>> Oh, why is that? This is everything together makes it more I don't know like special.
>> Yeah.
>> So, you know, one by itself is good, but everything together is a lot better.
>> Yeah. One map alone wouldn't really do it. Same way the mirror one mirror is not that special, right? But altogether is really cool.
>> I'm kind of surprised that you know could you know the bird flying?
>> Oh yeah, theoretically in this poop on everything. Yeah, they totally could.
They totally could. There's a view of again what it looks like. There is another room here.
This is still mixed with the Greek.
>> Yeah. So, it's like mythology kind of things. Well, actually, some of these could be Roman gods, too, cuz Roman and Greek may share the same kind of stuff.
There's another room.
And then they have this one area blocked off so you can't step on I guess this part here maybe. Yeah, maybe more more special than others. Can see what this one looks like. Rooms are huge on this like weird bridge thing. And this must be to direct the flow of traffic. Yeah.
Just go around.
>> Yeah. So, this is yet another room.
It's all impressive.
And the ceiling is like this.
So, we found the best sitting spot there, but you actually can't sit. It's roped off. But this would be pretty great. You can see the window out there.
And then uh another cool sitting spot.
So, going to more room. Oh, we have a choice. Well, maybe not. So, just follow the arrows here. So, you can see a lot of these types of cool rooms. Has a nice feel to it. Look at this movie kind of feel. You see that? It's like a nicer ceiling of some of the other rooms in terms of that that kind of style.
>> This one doesn't really fit, right? This has got to be like the biggest donors ever. It has to be. It's really funny.
It's like this photo of just regular people. And it's it's pretty recent, too. This is the most funny thing. So, Matise has got art here at the Vatican, which I wouldn't have guessed. I wouldn't have I I wouldn't mind that my house. That was pretty good. That one's pretty good. Oh, it's like that.
>> What's that?
>> Yeah, that one's pretty good.
>> So, this is kind of a surprise here, but everyone's kind of >> Yeah, I thought it only has like old antique >> stuff. All kinds of stuff.
>> So, we're continuing our journey to the Sistine Chapels and they have a lot of like they can rotate this art pretty easily, right? So, this probably we rotate. All right, so we're going in and uh no cameras up here, but we'll tell you guys what it's like. We just got the Sistine Chapels. Any thoughts?
>> Yeah, it was like I don't know. I've been seeing that picture, you know, long time.
>> The finger touching thing.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah, we've all seen it.
>> It's there and it's amazing the painting skills and I think it's all all flat, but it looks like all 3D.
>> Mhm.
>> Basically, the style the other rooms going in is all the same style.
There's just all one really big piece >> that is supposed to be basically lesson.
>> Uh they had a bell and they wasn't sure if that's a lecturing box or not. Here they looks like they have um Indiana Jones type stuff. So if you you know need to uh attack a vampire or drink the chalice like this kind of room. So that's a really good globe. I'd like to get that one. That's pretty cool. It's got the different stars, right? Aries and things. Pisces is on there and you can see the different ones. This is another room. A lot of these long hallways are like this. So, this must be the globe room then. Basically, yeah, these are all globes. You see this? So, if you're in the globes, this is this is a pretty cool room. It's funny cuz a lot of people kind of skip this because you just saw the chapel.
So, you know, but quite fantastic. So, if you want to get like bags, you can get that kind of thing or like >> bag this kind of thing. Yeah.
>> The kind of print, so they don't let you take photos, but that's what it looks like inside.
>> There's a bed books.
>> Yeah. So, the the story behind how they painted is really quite interesting.
They have a gift store.
Lots of different stuff to get.
Okay. So, this is the staircase. Yay.
There's Y. We have it all to ourselves, I guess. Okay. So, we're going down the staircase or not staircase, I guess.
Roundabout. What do you What would you call this thing? I'm actually not even sure, but it's going down.
This is This is interesting.
Yeah, Gi's right there. There's Ji.
Let's see what it looks like. And I'll show you guys kind of our viewpoint.
You can see >> Oh, the bumps there. Yeah, this goes around.
We can look over the edge. So this is the final exit from the uh from the Vatican. They kick you out and it's kind of surprising me like this. So we just came out and this is actually where we started this morning and the people are still coming.
>> So basically big circle, right?
>> Yeah. And now we're going to try to figure out how to get to um another section. This is the line of people who don't have tickets. And it's actually really long. Uh I can't even see how far it goes. I'll show you guys.
>> Oops. Just like that. just keeps going.
So, but it's all shade though, which is nice. Yeah. So, me personally, if you had to wait in line this long, I don't think you'll be able it's really loud. That's if you don't have ticket. The corner here, the line goes all the way up there and it's still going back over there is the the other part might be like crazy long like that.
You'll >> see. But you got to do your hair here.
>> This must be guards into the Vatican.
It's interesting uniform there. They have. And then we're going to head into the uh basel there.
>> Right.
>> Oh, okay. Try water.
>> Water. It's okay.
Need to have some, too.
This will be a popular spot here. So there's a line into I think it starts over there somewhere and then you got to go all the way over here and into there.
See what it looks like. It's like this big area. So they have big screens behind. It's right behind me. And it just goes all the way around. So this is the area then around the Vatican and such. So they have a lot of like gift stores and little restaurants and things. So you can see here's a video what it looks like here. There's like a castle there. There's bridges that goes back into to Rome. And then there's like bridges like I don't know every couple of blocks. There's then the bridge. And I guess some of these people are are part of the church maybe.
There's the view.
You can see what it looks like. Traffic can be quite busy around here. So we found another church. We'll go take a look at a lot of these places. Look like it's big.
Pretty neat, right?
see what the neighborhoods look like.
Where's J? There she is. The narrow sideways, uh, sidewalks, I should say.
Um, and I think this is all one way traffic looks like. So, these kind of quiet little neighborhoods is really neat to see like how people put plants outside, right? And >> definitely European feeling.
>> Very narrow roads.
And everything's cobblestone. You guys can see behind us.
Yeah, this is your Oh, there is a car coming. So people do drive down this thing. We'll see you go by here. But during rain though, it's not really designed well for rain. So the we didn't show you guys. We went out yesterday in the rain and kind of puddles are everywhere. Want to show you the flags behind me. You can see it actually. Uh so you have looks like Ukraine, France, and EU. So the market's here again. A lot of flowers. Looks nice.
You can see what the fruit looks like.
Looks quite good actually. And then they were saying some of the restaurants here, they all get their food fresh from the market every day. So the greens look pretty good. We're going through the market area here looking for Yi. I think she's talking to a local about buying some food. We'll see what it ends up being over here.
Supposed to be pasta and such.
So we got local pasta. Lot of pastas.
Now, >> what are we looking at?
>> I see.
>> Almost like this.
>> Okay. So, we're getting a pizza this time.
>> Hopefully, it'll be good. It'll be different. So, the last time was kosha, I guess. So, looks like we got some pizza here. And this time it's different.
>> Just regular pizza.
>> Yeah. Last time was was picosha.
>> So, we'll see how this one is.
>> So, this is pizza.
And it's good. It's good.
>> Yeah.
>> All right. All right. So, thanks for watching everyone and uh we'll catch you on the next video.
