Poll suggests LGBTQ+ support down from '22 high

[00:00:00]After more than two decades of growth, support for LGBTQ issues in the US appears to be slipping.

[00:00:06]A new Gallup survey finds that support for legal same-sex marriage is now at 65%.

[00:00:11]That is down from a 71% peak reached in 2022.

[00:00:16]Gallup also reported that Republican support for same-sex marriage fell sharply from 55% in 2022 to 37% today.

[00:00:24]Views on changing one's gender has also dropped. In 2021, Gallup found that 46% of Americans viewed changing one's gender as morally acceptable. Today, that number stands at 38%. [music]
